if it's a 5 port your after get the GX 5 port combo (2072 GO pipe) as the hyper pipe just doesn't cut the mustard & chokes the motor (poor run times & poor performance)!

as for the best fuel for the GX you can't get any better than Massive Mods A Main C2 Blue Dot 25% (i hope your driving skills can do the fuel justice as mine don't, but god it's fun & holds a tune very, very well) & you can get it from RC HOBBY ZONE in Clovelly Park just north of you (just tell them magpie sent you)

Sounds good what clutch bell size do you run is the standard 13t ok with that Engine

Is it ok to use sewing machine oil in the engine when not using it can you buy that blue dot fuel in 4L and also I need to take the Clutch off my old engine so do I need a special tool for that.

cheers

yes, yes and yes.

But I would put a new flywheel and clutch on it as the old one may be worn and the collet squashed.

The guys at RC Hobby Zone will sort you out, i'm sure. :D

with the flywheel u will have to re-use the hyper 7 one as the engine mounts are to high for a standard flywheel, just use the new collet that comes installed with the GX 5 port ;)
do you have a starter box, as these motors don't have rotar-start or pull start like the mach 28 ?

foaley77 10-14-2010 06:46 AM

yeah I got a LRP Starter box
