Hey Simon,
Thanks for the set up you posted on the Corally Team site for the Littlehampton track The Corally PHI was simply awesome over the weekend at the S.A Titles and I managed to TQ and win the 27 turn class. For a car that I have only had for one month prior to the event I was really impressed at how easy the car is to drive fast and consistent. I managed to set both a lap and race time that would now be the quickest in 27 turn for the track and it would have given me pole at the Nationals last year, I am absolutely rapped in the Corally car……..what a weapon :sneaky: I would also like to give a big congratulations as well to Rhys who put the PHI into 2nd place overall in mod and to both Craig and Rhys for the help leading up to the event. |
Well done guys, another strong showing for the Corally cars. Strong win in
27T B4James, congrats. Good to hear you are all happy with the cars. ...Ari |
Thanks Ari,
The car was just awesome and I found that over the first part of each race you could really push it hard. Due to this I was able to be half a second a lap quicker than the field over the first 4-6 laps in each of the finals and then settle down to putting in consistent. laps for the remainder. As far as set up, I found the car very responsive to changes and you can see and feel each change that is made which was great when trying new things out. |

I need a little help mounting the trf shocks to my corally phi!
i have built the trf shocks using the shock ends from the corally shocks so it pops straight on to the arm no worries. My problem is what are people using to mount the top of the shock on to the tower as corally use a large ball and the trf use a small ball? peter |
Peter,
I think you will find that the majority of guys are using the Tamiya hardware for mounting |
I was going to use the tamiya ball studs that came with the trf kit but they dont come with nuts to mount them on the tower. Do i have to get some small nuts and do it that way or is there another way? I hope you understand what i am trying to say!

thanks for your help peoples, I manage to do it using the std trf gold ball studs and using the exisiting corally threaded ball as the nut! Looks a little weird but it work.

Ari,
When do you think you will have the new PHI diffs in ? Is there any other new goodies that you know of in the pipeline ? |
