Hi Heavy,.. If you can find a ThunderTiger fm1e you'd be lucky now (the parts on that bike are all milled from 7075), they don't make that chass anymore.. Like Simon said, you can still get some of the parts for that bike though, like the swingarm and the fork stem and replace them for the diecast parts on the TT999e DUC (they have a nitro chass too).. We get most of our stuff from 2WheelHobbies, Kelletts, some LHS and ebay etc.. The TTfm1e milled swingarm and fork stem are pretty cheap to replace anyway.. The other mods you'll need are good tyres, GRP B22B's front and rear, or, PMT 100's front and rear, or you can mix them up etc, they come in other comps also (tyres will last you a while).. And a set of clamping Ali triples for the forks, see 2WheelHobbies.com . (I know it looks like we're advertising 2wheelhobbies but you don't find to many places for good service and hopup parts for these bikes, not yet anyway)

After those 4 main parts you'd be good to race,.. then your motor choice, esc and batts, and I know you have all that..

Are you thinking of joining in..? It would be great to have you onboard..

Hey guys
These look great. What sort of run time do you get with the 5800 brushless?
I have seen on a link(I'll have to find again) an electric and nitro dirtbike that does awesome jumps. They look quick.

Depends what sized cells, but with 3300NiMh packs you'd get about 8mins.. Not sure yet on what you'd get out of the dirt bike yet though till it's released.. Here's a few pics of it, it's taken from the Ricky.C RadioShack bike... And a pic of Antonio, the designer of the ARXRacing dirt bike.. Should be released sometime this year.., I hope!..

Default Where to buy a 1/5 bike...

Hi, for those wanting/looking for a good place to buy a 1/5th chassis from, http://2wheelhobbies.com/index.php?cPath=21 .., (it's where I buy most of my parts from).. It's a direct link to the complete bikes page.. The elec.TT999r RTR is only $299US and even with postage it'll still work out cheaper than what you'd pay for one at your LHS.. To get it race ready all you need is good PMT or GRP tyres, an Ali swingarm and an Ali steering stem, to replace the diecast ones on the elec.TT999r...

Or, if you want to go all out, you might want to check out the Tornado and McLarney chassis in the link too... (Their not rollers/still need wheels and some other bits)

Hi Ryan,

It took me year to get my electric car spare's,

So it will take me sometime to build up spares for the bike.

Just keep it on two wheels and you shouldn't need any spares

What bike did you end up getting? and where from?

Smile 1/5th bike

Hi Ryan,

I got Thunder Tiger Electric bike,

Its is pretty much ready to run. It has a mod motor in it, But I will replace this with a special motor that I am looking at.

I just have to put my own radio gear in it and I am off and racing.

I think I will take about month to practices with the bike before I staring racing it.
