I will be making the trip up to QLD for the first time to race at the QLD Titles. Sounds like its been a great event in the past so I'm really looking forward to it!

How will the club be ensuring that only three sets of tyres are used, will they be marked in some way prior to the event?

Will a subsequent set be allowed for A-main drivers?

Rowdy,

If it is the same as last year, we had to check our tyres in at the start of racing - and they were marked and stored. We could check up to 3 full sets in at the beginning of the weekend and could get any set back at any time we wanted them.

There was no opportunity for a finalists to submit extra sets - 3 sets was it.

As I said, that was last year - and it seemed to work well. My assumption is that a similar system will be used again this year.

Perhaps DD or Sherif or Big Mac can confirm?

Scott

Tyres will be marked as per last year,
if any of the numbers or markings are removed the tyres will not be permitted to be used..

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay. But here is the entry form for the 2006 QLD on-road titles.

I noticed that the entry form does not have anything about the number of sets allowed for modified. Is there a limit on sets allowed like last year?

Thanks,

Andrew Abbott

G'day Andrew, Yes, there is a limit for both rebuildable stock and mod. It will be up to 3 full sets (12 tires). During qualifying, you will be allowed to access any 4 tires (1 set), you can mix and match any of your own tires during the meet. Exactly as per last year's titles.

It was an oversight to leave it off the entry form. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Leonard.

Generally for the Qld Titles you have to pay when you enter so email is probably out.
