State Titles

I am very proud to be part of this joint venture in hosting the Qld Titles for 2006 at Meakin Park, we have just held our annual Wintercup with Great success and the Titles will be no exception.. this year
540 is a rubber tyre class with rims inserts and tyres open and still hand out motor.......
all the other classes are to be
Sorex 36 open insert and rim as per last year, hope to see all there again this year as it will be better than last....

Excellent

Hope Joel Gartland comes back to racing would be awesome to watch him win back to back titles, he was outstanding last year.

regards
Brad

tyres

With the tyres, Can we buy them privately and check the in for racing, Or will we have to be buying them off the club on that weekend?

heavy 07-28-2006 02:56 PM

I think it's meant to be a "self supplied" control tyre this year but there is an ORRCA meeting next week so expect there will be more announcements after that

so what happened to charters towers hosting it?

scott_g 07-28-2006 09:52 PM

Charters Towers withdrew from hosting the event. As per the Orrca regulations the offer then went to the next club on the list. Chargers accepted to host the event and will do so at Logan

Entry forms will come along fairly soon. I can't remember entry fee but it's not too over the top.

You should plan to race in 540 class at the Queensland titles jd. It's all excellent experience. 540 is often a hand-out motor class (I'm not sure about this year - somebody from ORRCA might answer that one). It will be a good fun event.

OMG... I understand Keith M will be dropping back to 540 as well cos he's running out of stock's.... will be a great battle with you there as well. Young Joel will certainly have his hands full getting his back to back title....

Sherif 08-01-2006 01:13 PM

Scott it is open tyres for 540 that way you can run what ever you might have from club racing and wont have to go out and buy 3 sets of tyres for the meet, as for entering well you might make the top ten if your lucky this year.....
