About time there was a thread for the Central Vic. tracks :)

Not a bad looking track there, nice and flat. Once you guys get a more permanent driver's stand, it will be very good.

What did you end up spraying/applying to cover up where the green paint was skip?

Well it's on the Bendigo YMCA Radio Control Car Club have set a Date for our 1st Challenge to be known as the Bendigo Power Grunt Challenge ( Thanks to the Support of Power Grunt Hobbies Bendigo ) The Day will be as follows -It's On AUGUST 27th -The Format will be as Follows - 3 x 5 Minute Heats with a 15 Minute Final for the Nitro Classes - Stock , Pro Stock and Pro Tourer all Nitro Classes will Run to the Current VORTEC Rules , We also be Running our Normal Club events the 540 Class along with the 540 Mini Class with both 540 Classes the only Restrictions are the 540 are to be 'Silver Cans' For the Day these Classes will just Run 4 x 5 Minute Heats , There will be Trophies for 1st 2nd and 3rd in Every Class .. Entry will be $10 and $5 for each other Class you Enter..Racing will Start at 10 am SHARP , The Track will open on the Saturday with the Drivers Stand Set up...BBQ and Refreshments will be available on the Sunday, We also have Toilet Faculties in our Club Rooms..for any further Details Please PM Me :nod:

We are Planning to Make this an Annual Event ..

We Painted it with a Rubber Based Top Coat .. Heaps of Grip ... We are hoping to Coat the Whole Track in the Near Future :nod:

You'd best update the VORTEC info on the site though. Sunday's washout (again!) has made a total mess of the calender. :(

I'm planning on being up yor way on Sunday for the offroad stuff, so might see if I can check the onroad track while I'm there.

As well as next Sunday being a great chance to get in an early run for the POWER GRUNT CHALLENGE '06, it's also looking like it will be a big field of Mini's :D :ha: :D There has been a lot of interest in the Mini's for the last 6 weeks up here - time to chase down that 'green monster' that's been running up the front of the pack :sneaky: ( :flaming: i have a few new mods :flaming: )

So can we expect another turn out of Lightning McQueen in his first race since last time? :D My mini will be fully race ready for next weekend - might even add a few more ponies under the hood at the expense of my 540, just to catch that SNOT BOX ;)

And by the way D REAL NO FEAR, you know a good signwriter? I'm hunting for some decals ;)

I know of a signwriter. Dont know if he's any GOOD though.

Looks like i'm gonna need to do a bt of transplanting from the 540 then if my mini will be up the front! :sneaky: "The Boss" says i can't run foams on my mini, so i guess i'll have to finally glue the rubbers to the rims to play fair! :weird:

That's right, the Bendigo YMCA RC Car Club with the proud support of POWER GRUNT HOBBIES will be holding our POWER GRUNT CHALLENGE on Sunday, August 27.

Nitro Stock, Pro Stock and Pro Touring will all be run according to current VORTEC rules with 3x5 minute heats and a 15 minute final.

We will also be running 540 stock and 540 Mini which are two of our local classes and are to be run with 3 x 5 minute heats and a 5 minute Final. The only restrictions are that they are to run the stock 540 "silver cans".

There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each class :D

Our regular race meeting is to be run next weekend, 23/7/2006, and is the perfect chance for you to come along and get in some practice runs prior to the big event!

Club Memberships are Now Due ;) As of the 30th of June :)

As you can see with the Work we have done with the New Layout,Paint,Permenant Piping and Transponders that your Membership is Very important to keep the Improvements coming ;)

In the Near Future we Hope to have the Whole Track re- surfaced So Guys get them Memberships in :)
