Wodonga Radio Control Car Club is making the final arrangments to hold the first annual BATTLE IN THE BUSH for electric onroad on the 5th and 6th of april.

The regular vortec classes will be run.

Race order will be
1st Nitro 200 laps
2nd Electric 200 laps
3rd Nitro 200 laps
4th Electric 200
5th Nitro 200 laps

(That is the Nitros from each team will run 200 laps , then the Electric guys will run 200 , followed by the Nitro guys and so forth)

When the 1st team completes 200 laps every team must change over and so on. Teams will incure a 5 lap penalty for each extra lap after change over warning sound. (This is to prevent any mishaps with nitros running over electric etc... )

Teams are to be chosen at random from the nominations on the day. Depending on nominations the team structure may change from that listed above. Please nominate every car that you can run, plus your preferance, the committee will work out the structure before the event and notify you of the car to run. ONLY 1 DRIVER PER CAR and 1 CAR PER DRIVER.

Electric drivers will require at least 3 good batteries to make the distance. ( 4 or 5 would be better preliminary calculations show you will have approx 55 mins to recharge between sessions )

8.30 - 9am Nominations $10 per car
9am drawing of teams from the hat
8.30 – 9.45am Practice and team planning
10am Race start ( race finish approx 2.30pm )

1) Teams to marshal their own cars. If the team has a broken car, no car can replace it until the broken car is in pit lane and lifted over the pit wall.

2) You can use 1 (one) extra non racing/driving person to help manage the team.

3) The winning team is the 1st to complete 1000 laps total

4) Teams can run their own strategy as to which order the cars run in each division as long as only nitros are on the track during the nitro laps and electric are on the track during the electric session.

5) Car rules as per the AARCMCC & Bunbury onroad lists

The Tamworth Cup Incorporating the 4th annual NSW VS QLD Challenge will be held on the 31st May,1st June with friday 30th being practice day.

Classes this year will be as

Controlled 540 tourer.

Stock tourer, which also will include novak 13.5 bonded rotor motor as well..

19 turn tourer, which will include 10.5 brushless motors.....

Modified tourer, which will include 5 cell cars with a reduced weight limit...

Pull Start nitro tourer....

Nitro Open...

Greg Still Cup, SMA

This event has been postponed and will run when the new track is built

Venue: Sydney Model Autosports, Holbeach Ave, Tempe

Greg was one of the original members of SMA and tragically lost the battle with cancer almost two years ago. the event last year event drew a large field and was won by Graham Rourke (17 lapper).

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Cancer Council NSW.

This event will be incorporated in SMA's usual Sunday race meet and race fees will not change.

Trophies and prizes will also be up for grabs so please get involved as all proceeds will be going to a very worthy cause.
