Default wierd servo

i've got a metal gear 615mg ultra which has the following problem.

when i turn left the gear skips. if i attempt to hold it at the skipping point it twitches.

ps; non of the gears are broken. i opened up the servo and i noticed the middle gear, (not the one the servo horn goes on and not the one on the oposite end of the servo, yet the middle one which has a pin going through it) moves to the side when i turn left. instead of keeping it's position it shifts (as if the pin isn't keeping it straight) to one side and that's what is giving the "skipping" effect.

why is this happening to a $110 servo? (australian dollars)

Ozzy. the pin will move with the cover off. The cover keys into the pin to hold it stationary. Are you sure there aren't any missing teeth in the gears somewhere? How old is the servo and what have you been using it in? TTYL.

If it took a couple of good whacks and the servo saver was to tight it may have been damaged. I will find our where you can get it fixed. I'll get mike to post a reply for you here. TTYL.
