Darkseid, a XXX KE is $385 plus tax bringing it to over $400. And the world thinks Canada is such a great place, LOL. Remember everything you see at your american price, add 60% for the exchange rate. My XR buggy cost me $900, and my WS7 was $450. You can laugh, but your $120 servo up here costs well over $200. Latest price on an Airtronics 357 is $270. If you were all wondering why racing struggles up here, you now have your answer.

Gary: Dang man. Thats insane! I don't see how racing manages to survive up there. I think the guys down under in Austrailia have it pretty bad with the pricing too.

In Alberta the minimum wage is $5.70 and hour. I am currently earning $27.50 which may sound like a lot, but once I am done with all of my taxes(gst, income tax, property tax, etc) I am left with aprox $13 an hour. Last year in income tax alone I shelled out $16k. Also right now the average price of a house here in Calgary is $225k, LOL. Anyone want to sponsor me for a green card??

Interesting info Gary. You should get a job with Hitec USA and move to their headquarters. Of course right now, immigrating takes forever for anyone.

Here's the best tax we have, the Goods and services tax(GST). Now everyone has tax on gas, but the GST taxes those taxes for and additional 7%. They just raised cigarette taxes so a carton of smokes is now $65, which is also taxed an additional 7% GST. A new house gets taxed the 7%, but if you re-sell it it gets taxed again 7%, good ole GST!! Used cars are the same, 7% GST over and over again until the car is in the scrap heap. The way they justify this is that the fisrt time you pay the tax its for the Goods, every other time its for the service of having someting sold to you, pretty neat huh. Lets not forget how gas prices at every service station in my city(pop 1 million) goes up and down exactly the same amount at the exact same time.

Great country huh, LOL.

I asked this once before in the Any Topic Thread and it never got answered. So here it is again.

How the heck does this DSC work. Its not like the manual is really specific about this feature. I plugged the cord into the Lynx3D and it came on automatically, just like its supposed to do. Then I pluged the cord into the reciever and got nothing.

Now the black and red wires(the DSC cord only has those two) running to the receiver were in a different position than where the XXtra receiver wants them, so after the first try, I even tried rearranging the two wires that the DSC cord has so that they matched where the red and black wires should go according to the XXtra. Still nothing.

I'm a little confused at how the DSC works with just those two wires anyway, but mainly I would like to know why the DSC feature isn't working. I tried it with the XXtra and a Futaba R113F receiver. Didn't work with either.

A little help here please. Thanks

Okay, so the wires go to signal and ground. The Red one to signal and the black one to ground right?

I thought I tried that, but I'll go back and try it again. I need to have the battery pack plugged in and the speedo switched to on, right?

Tried it again with the red wire in the signal and the black in the ground slots. Turned on the car, and still had no control at all???

I don't know dude. I just plug mine in and it works. I wish I was there to take a peek and see if anything is up. Where do you live again?

Its right there under my name. Lawrence, Kansas. Right outside of KansasCity.

Well heres the update. I just went back and tried the DSC with all of my receivers. Still it doesn't work with my XXtra, but it worked perfectly with both my R113F receiver and my XXL.

I don't get whats going on, but I guess the problem is with my brand new XXtra and not the DSC function. Its not big enough a deal for me to send it in right now, I guess. But it is quite annoying that it isn't working.
