Hi Al,
What part of town are you in? We are in San Manuel and it is quite a drive.
As for help, with the paint program, not really we have split the kids up by ability and what they want to achieve.
The Track, that would be great the dirt will be there by the weekend, then I need to get with a friend that can bring his backhoe out one day. I can let you know as soon as we have a plan.

Just typed in the address on Google Maps and did a sat. view and showed an old layout. Crazy how everyone can see into your backyard...

FALL 2013 Layout
All moved with a shovel and wheelbarrel, we have access to over 100 more yards but no way to move it except with my truck.

Going to reopen mid Sept for the kids program. Got some more to do before than. I am usually available mon-fri most anytime, just give me a heads up. On weekends just depends if the kids have a swim meet, like this weekend but it is here right next to the track. Most of the kids in the RC program are also in the Swim program.
Also working on getting generators so we can run lights and stay out late.

Can't believe its been almost a month of working on this layout...
We are planning to re-open the 28th at 10am for fun practice.
Trying to get it piped late this week and will have a pic as soon as we do.

Pipe is down, swept/blown and watered. Track is fast and pretty technical.
Here is a quick video of the layout, I didn't have anyone with me to shoot any cars but hoping to do that tonight if I get home before its dark.

We will be out at the track in the morning to move MORE dirt and pack for the afternoon kids practice. Plan on running cars from 2pm till it gets dark (6 ish).

Selling my DNX408 to help get a generator to power the far side of the track. I don't get to use it much so figure I'll try and sell it.

Also have 2 cars to finish up and need of about $90 in parts, I would be willing to trade a B4 or T4 for the parts to complete them or just sell one and I can order the parts.

Veterans Day Open House
I will be out all weekend to touch up a few spots and run cars, message me here if you would like to come out and help and test.
Normally the cars are reserved just for the kids but we think we can give one day back to our Veterans.

We received a generous donation from one of the members here.
A Tamiya Durga 4wd buggy, it has a servo and I believe we have a motor and ESC we can drop in.
We also have an Associated B4.1 just about complete.
On Sat. Dec 21st we will be selecting 2 very deserving kids in the program and awarding them the cars complete and ready to run.
Pics and details will be posted on our FB page.

With the recent closing of CV and CH in Tucson. I would like to gauge interest to see if it would be feasible to get a timing system to start running at our track.

Looking for another adult to help with the program. With the closing of Competition Hobbies and Canyon Vista, that leaves 2 tracks in the Tucson area... Hobby Town and THIS ONE... we need the support to keep this going.
