Wausau Track Opening???
Hey there are you referring to another carpet track or the dirt track out by Hwy 107? I don't have any answers on either, but just thought that I would clarify.
I have been inquiring about the dirt track near Hwy 107, however the impression that I am getting is that the amount of work that went into the track and the number of folks that showed up for race/practice days didn't balance out. I still think the off-road track near Hwy 107 was one of the best out-door 1:10 dirt tracks that I have been to, so of course, I would like to see it open again.
As for carpet, I know GB is always looking for places to roll out some carpet, however we probably wont be seeing much in terms of carpet until fall.
One of the things that *I* thought would be really cool is setting up an asphalt course once or twice a month. Just imagine a nice 200' straight ...ahhhh So GB has all of the equipment to make it happen all we need is some interest and support within the R/C community.
Any interest for an on-road asphalt course?

The land has been unexpectedly sold as of last week............ As far as when everything will have to be moved, is still up in the air as of yet. But I am waiting to hear back from the new owner as to what he will expect. But my best guess would be in the next month'ish. I will get with Bob as info comes, and take it from there....
Sorry guys.

I'm still waiting to hear exactly what may happen this year, at this point we honestly don't know much other than there is a new owner. How this will affect the tracks is yet to be determined and I will keep this thread updated.

UPDATE:
The latest solid news I have is the track will need to be completely removed by the middle and no later than the end of June. As far as re leveling the land I am not sure. But this goes for all of the rest, I will be working on getting over there to move the big red tank, but I am on 14hr days the next few weeks so I have no clue when I will be able to be there right now.
I will keep things posted as I can from here....
