Hey guys,

I just finished building my BMi2 this afternoon before I ran off to work and it looks sweet!! I can't wait to get it on the track tomorrow and see what she can do in 19t. I'll have pics of it tomorrow and the one for the BMI site.

We found time yesterday to test the new low C of G BMI TC4. Impressive is an understatement. With CS22s that already had 6 runs on them and were therefore pretty lousy, and a checkpoint 7 turn motor that already had 5 runs without a skim and 12 runs on the same set of brushes, the car matched our previous best times.

I had to rethink the steering completely since the first test last week - my post in the previous page refers. I now use mainly Yokomo bits and also have a servo saver in the system. There is still a bit of bumpsteer which I also hope to eliminate, but the cars runs absolutely flat and the tyres wear equally across the tread. Josh says it's alot more precise, responsive and easy to drive.

I hope to get down early next week and have a couple of runs with new tyres and a fresh motor. Should be interesting.

Default JohnBull...

do you have any pics of your steering rack? This should be an easy mod, if it works.

I'll try and get you some pics.

The steering was the only difficult bit. the rest was a couple of hours work. The whole car looks so low. The cells are about the same height as the top plate.
