I was looking at my wiring last night and routing, just curious how a few of you have set yours up? Forgot to order a longer sensor wire so looks like another week before I can get out and run it. Also, where are you mounting your transponder with the radio box? Anyone running a HOTWIRE?

Other than soldering and painting the body, I'm about ready to practice and start racing again..
Look in this thread:

In post 844, you can see some pics of the wiring in my E 3.0.

I have the transponder in the receiver box to have as few wires exposed as possible.

I just built mine new and it didn't come with any such guide, only the setup sheets. If it's suppose to come with one I'd like one also..

Thank you, don't know how I missed that thread in my search.

Any problems with the transponder mounted inside the receiver box? I didn't think of mounting it inside, wasn't sure if the signal would work that well inside..

No problem with the transponder signal. I have the receiver in the "front" of the box, and the transponder in the "rear", so they are separated by half a centimeter.

On page 44 in the E 3.0 manual, there is a depiction of the receiver box wiht a transponder and a receiver:

http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Fil...002_Manual.pdf

I have it in the same way.

Mines been in the box since day one with no problems, I am running 7.4v to my receiver plus a capacitor too though.

I use several type of lipo packs, because I buy when I see a good offer or if somebody at the track sells some cheap.

But, I have 4 cell 5000 mah lipos, pairs of 2 cell 5000-6000 mah lipos and pairs of 2 cell 4200 mah shorty sticks lipos.

I try to have packs with at least 40-50c discharge, but I have some Turnigy's with 35c discharge (75c burst) and I have not had any problem with them, despite of the lower c rate.

Depends on where you are running and the motor. For indoor we are running light setups with either 2 shorty packs or a light weight 4S and the T8i motors. For larger tracks or longer mains (over 10 min) you will probably be looking at higher Mah 4S packs and T8 Gen 2 motor.

I am running dual Venom 3800mah 60C shorty packs with the T8i as I run indoor mostly.

I wonder how a 1258 servo on 6 volts would perform in this buggy

It would probably work but I think in general you would want a little more torque (into the 200 range) for an 8th scale.

I am using the Spketrum S6090 on 7.4V (RX8 Gen 2).
