I thought someone on this thread had tried that earlier and it didn't fit on the BD?

I got some Delrin diff designed for the BD/SD and they work great and need minimal shimming. You can order through Champ RC. I am not completely happy as I had a ball cup come loose on the rear of the car and the pin retainer end of the diff ends snapped right off, For $25.00 they should last alot longer than that. Besides I was running a stock motor. Sheesh. I have since gone back to the standard diff in my BD and still working the LCG one up. It only has three runs on it so I will keep it till it wears out or breaks..LOL
But they are very smooth, but with ceramic or tunsten diff balls a standard diff can be just a smooth. Just my $0.02 on the delrin diff subject, Oh the HPI is much more durable although not as smooth. IMO

I was looking at pictures of some peoples' BD's and noticed a few have mounted the steering ball studs upside down. I have two questions about that; one is why and the other is when you do that, do you still put the 2mm spacer on the steering rack? Thanks.

as a direct fit the MS delrin diff is too wide, but gradually removing material from the stepped lip where the output begins to widen to the diff ring support, on the short side, is enough to make it a near perfect fit

Is the spool to wide or the bulkhead?

it is the width of the diff that is too wide, but now as im trying to properly build the diff back up, i seem to be having problems with the internal parts fitting/working, will try an work it out though

[edit] ahh, found the problem, where the inner ballrace fits into the short part of the MS diff (the ballrace is in the long side on yok diff) doesnt go deep enough into the output so the diff plates cant get close enuff to contact with the balls.
hmm this is turning out to be abit of a hassle to do, seems like alot of work, should lok good once its finished though

It just corrects the cars bump steer, gives a little quicker steering reaction from what I felt. You do not use the 2mm spacers if you flip the links.

Cool, thanks Randy. I already did it with and without the spacer, and with the spacer looked totally wrong, but I wanted to ask anyway. I saw on your RROC BD that you didn't have a power cap or that you hid it well. I use the QC2 and plan on using the cap but I just wondered what you thought.

I honestly dont feel the difference between running the cap and not running it, I didn't suffer any glitching from loss of power to the reciever or anything, so I may just keep it off.

Matt Francis actually says you get more punch with the cap off on the QC2.

after much trying, TRF 415 delrin diff doesnt fit, the driveshafts are too long to fit in enough

have heard though that the LCG dogbones are shorts so might fit, this seems alot of trouble to run a delrin diff though, will try the LCG stuff sometime...

Well, I already mounted the speed control with it, so I'll try with the cap first and then without. Thanks man.

Since I am in the question asking mood and people love to show there knowledge I have one. When and why wouldyou run a direct center pulley verses the one way and why the hell would they have a center one way if you havea front one way. Life was easier with 2wd offroad. I counldn't even say pulley until this car.
