new shocks
can anyone suggest some new shocks for me? Have an urge to hop up. Would the hot bodies threaded shocks work with my Ta04-s? Thanks for your suggestions.

SHOCKS
hi! the HB SHOCKS are really nice but are a bit short for the TAO4.
The TRF Dampers are really nice and easy to work with.

Get The New TRF Tamiya Shocks. They are probably the best you will find

Anyone know what's the part number for the TA04R wheel hub??? I'm looking for the aluminum one. By the way, the aluminum wheel hubs are like 6mm for TA04R right??? Tamiya released a 6mm clamp type wheel hub that's made for the 04R right? Any feedback is good, Thanks in advance!

TRF,
I used the ones like those used on the TB EVOII they are part #49120 they are the thin ones with the "O" Rings to hold in the pin. These are excellent.
Try Andy at the web Site shown just below this message (hobbymania). If you check out the option parts section he has plenty of hop ups for the TA04 Listed...

Correct TRF,
The ones I mentioned are thinner than the plastic hubs but they work very well. It may be necessary with some wheels to use the alloy wheel washers that come with the 04R kit so that the wheel ribs do not rub against the uprights or hub carriers.

Just a quick question, I think I've heard somewhere that we shouldn't be using any anti-wear grease on the CVD joint, and not on the dogbone end of it either. This is 'cause the grease will attract dust and pebbles like American Idol does talentless teens.
I'm pretty tired of ripping apart the suspension to clean it too (while developing slack in the ball-cup links). So, can we go grease-less?

Personally I have used no gease at all on dogbones, out drives, universals etc, . I noticed no undue wear and the whole lot was much easier to clean and had to be cleaned less often. Dirt clings to grease and only serves to wear out joints faster due to the sand paper effect.

No worries,
I too used grease until advised by other rctech members not to use any or use very little...
