full graphite kit (losi)

titanium front and rear driveshafts (TIR)

full titanium screw kit (TIR)

titanium bottom chassis plate (custom made in aerospace)

carbon fibre front shock tower to match my rear one (fastrax)

i'll keep my fastrax front and rear aluminium hubs and also steering bellcranks, along with my hpi threaded shocks, blue heatsink and titanium turnbuckles (lunsford)

if any of you guys are breaking front bodyposts (i've been through about three), try this.

get an old, or indeed new hpi front bodypost. cut off the hexagonal part at the bottom, test fit it into the original hole in the bumper, it may need some widening. then refit with a bit of thin super glue, leave to set.
just got through some lunsford Ti hingepins...

the car was amazing monday night, lapped the whole field in the A main.

with rubber slicks and moulded inserts its around 1490g, i'll get an official figure on sunday...

oh yeah...managed to order 8 TiR ball ends for the hpi shocks to go on my losi...the whole kit (16 ball ends) would have been no use on the losi..(imperial, not metric).

the main chassis on graphite plus - isn't it just the same with some extra parts machined off? like in front of the battery post etc?

The design is exactly the same; all that has changed is the milling process. The "TL" logo, for example, is gone, replaced with some cross-cuts. It looks like the new chassis will be a bit lighter as well, with some additional milling on the inside of the tunnel (I think).

Default First day back on carpet!!!

Boys, I am one tired a-- dude!! You know your dedicated when you drive 180 miles in one day to just run 5 packs in practice!!!

Well, here is my question!!! I am running on a high grip carpet track (very small with Lots of switchbacks, chicanes, doglegs, narrow lanes, etc.) and my biggest problem was the car would dive to the apex and it almost looked like the nose was digging in really hard. It would hit apex's an inch off the corner dot almost every time, but it looked slooow!! Like the car was coming to a stop. Heres a bit of my set-up.

70 wt. 56 piston. Purple spring. Shocks in third hole on tower. Camber link in third hole in. 2f block and 4 degree caster block. LRC. Plaid tire and 2 droop on gauge. sauced 1/2

in back it was 50 wt oil, 56 piston. Green spring. Shocks in third hole in and outside hole on bottom. Camber link long as possible. LRC. Purple tire and 4 on droop guage. sauced full.

Batteries forward and 4.5mm ride height.

The other thing was car had an off power oversteer.

Thanks guys,
Ray

I think your front spring is just too soft.

Oversteering in off power is one of the characteristic of XXX-S because of the Pin layout (toe out).

Arrow TRF-Thanks!!

Also-I used the regular thickness sway bar up front too.

This sounds stupid, but I hate going too far different front to rear on springs!!! Dumb, I know, but its seems wrong to me to run a 45 lb spring up front and a 20 lb in rear?!?!?!? Its makes me think-whats wrong with my set-up if I need to do that??
