Hey there.

I just look at those pics about the new 415MRE. 1 question came my mind... do i have to use only battery strapping tape.. wright?

Is there option to use battery plate set vs strapping tape?

Thanks

That's right, you have to use battery strapping tape.

Just to clarigy, there will NOT be any update kit for the MSX to make it the MR edition. Thats from Fred at Tamiya.

How much would a lightly used (5 runs) MSX go for now that the new car is out? I am debating selling my MSX for a newer car, but can't decide if it is worth it yet or not.

Its not worth it...My money has seen better days...I sold My MSX got the MRE...and I am not that thrilled. Some of the upgrade are okay but not worth selling the MSX for a coulpe of upgrades. The MSX oneway housing will not fit. Just to put the 4mm chassis on I have to purchase the MSX steering parts as well as the top deck ....having the lastest is not always meaning having the best. I like what been done with my evo5 more so than the MRE.....just my 2cents.

I understood that with MSX this was not possible or it would require some serious dremeling to rear bulkhead..

that just about seals it for me! i've been contemplating between the EVO V and the MRE - looks like i'll stick with the EVO V.
I wasn't (and still am not) going to get rid of my MSX, i was just going to add to the arsenal. Since I race mainly stock, OK, only stock ( ) I think the EVO V is going to be my best bet.

thanks for pushing me one way or the other.

Harsh, will you be at Speedworld on Friday? I want to see the new addition! Welcome to the TAMIYA family!!

Hi there, any idea which oneway housing to get for the MRE if the MSX one doesn't fit? I'm planning to run a oneway instead of spool.

Also, is there a need to change the aluminium turnbuckles to titanium ones?
The aluminium ones bend easily?

My friend's MSX has problems with the turnbuckles' ball cups popping out after knocks...Are there any 'heavy duty' ball cups by Tamiya or other substitutes?

Here's some pics of todays progress ...I did have the wrong screw on the motor mount as TryHard indicated so that's been replaced.

Is anyone going to be at the Tamiya track in Aliso this Saturday with an Evo? I would like to check it out. Yeah yeah I know this is a 415 thread....

So whats the MRX worth now? I know to some carpet guys it is stil the piece to have since no 4mm chassis is out for the new car, and I highly doubt there will be considering this car is made to show off the setup of the 415 when it won all those asphalt races.
