The front diff from Jurgen for the 415

I have ran the diff and had NO PROBLEMS at all. Car is great with it in and there is no sign of any wear after 15+ runs. I have used a little tamiya anti-wear grease in the cups where the pins touch but that's all.

Jurgen makes great parts, his engineering is first class and the items are great. As normal he's used top grade materials. A++++ on anything he does.

Cool Front Diff

Copied from page 69:

"This is what I used to make a diff for the front. I didn't have to go looking for bearings or many parts to do it. I used the same bearings that is in the front of the 415 bulkheads.
TAMIYA 51055 415 Diff Pully
TAMIYA 53522 F201 Unversal shaft
YOKOMO ZS-501 Diff Joints
YOKOMO ZS-506 Diff Rings
YOKOMO ZS-507 Diff Thrust Bearing Set
YOKOMO ZS-508 Diff Adjusting Kit"

I struggled to find geniune Tamiya F201 universals so I used Tobee Lightweight Aluminium ones instead.

Works a treat.

It's gonna be a TCS weekend so the track's gonna be packed and I don't want to disrupt others on who are trying to figure things out.

I noticed on your set-up sheet that you are running Tamiya 500 shock oil, would this be close to like an Associated 50wt. or perhaps an Xray/Serpent 50wt.?
Thanks,

Does anyone shim between the bearin on the hub and the hub carrier to reduce slop in the axles? EJ told me to do this on my Evo 3 and I was wondering if the same applied on the 415. Also, where can I order the Echo belts from?

when i had my aluminum hubs in the rear..and i was using the Ti axles.. i used a .5mm shim and all the slop was gone. there isnt as much slop in the graphite parts.

Echo belts are available at R10. no photos though. just a listing.

R10 = rainbow ten = www.rainbowten.co.jp
