MRE One way Diff
Hi,
A lot of questions regarding front1 way diffs for the MRE. Apparently there will be one coming shortly.. How shortly?? I dunno.
For the time being, (and since I am very impatient) I bought the front oneway system for the TRF 415. I fitted it on and it fits fine. Tonight I will give it a spin and tell you all how it worked and wheter it was worth it..
Here are the part numbers for the conversion:
- Tamiya TRF415 Front One-way Housing: TAM51059
- Tamiya TRF415 Light Weight One-Way Drive Cup: TAM53704
the other parts were all from the orignal MRE package..
However I do recommend the following, if you don't want to undo/dammage the solid axle:
- Get a new MRE Front Pulley and
- bearings that hold the front Diff.

from experience, a lot of people say the original suspension is faster on carpet with rubbers... it may be true for good drivers but i found the LWT easier to drive..

I've only ever used the light weight suspension on carpet but now the short arms have come out i might give them a go. If you can set-up a car you can usually drive anything

Guys - do you know if Marc Rheinard and Josh Numan run 64 or 48 pitch gears? Also, do you know what brand pinions and spurs they use or do you have any good recommendations?
