I've converted another TC3 into the TC3 'O' and that has the newer diff cases with the hole at the front I'll have to swap them over.
Thanks guys

Well I have just got back from the "Ultimate Open" which is New Zealand's second largest on road meeting. I ended up TQing both Touring Modified and also Super Touring (Touring modified using whatever bodyshell you like. Usually Can Am style bodyshells). I then set about winning both classes and setting new track records in both classes. It would have to be my best results ever in RC car racing and I have been racing for about 18 years. The track its self is very bumpy and the ashfelt surface is like sandpaper. I used the black BMI tc3 chassis with the 3mm upper brace. We race on foam tires here as well. The car was just great and I was approx 1/2 lap up on everybody else from the start. I ended up winning 8 out of my 12 races and the ones I didn't win were because of driver error or mechanical problems. I have attached a couple of photos of the winning car and body shells.

I got the bugs worked out of my new chassis. I had it hooked up. I was on a roll in the B-main after being late and having only one qualifier to get used to the new setup. I was smooth till the anouncer hollered "Speedie is on a 23 lap run". DOT-DOT-PIPE I was so mad at myself. That was the most consistant I have ever run, the car worked great.
And easy to setup as well. Its nice to have a flat surface to measure ride height off of.

F-block
I had the same problem. I didn't end up doing the mod. I would have had to grind away enough material I was afraid the hinge pin would show...or be very thin in that area.
