1/10 R/C F1's...Pics, Discussions, Whatever...
The upper arms are covered in a carbon fibre vinyl sticker, no one makes a carbon arm as far as I know. I agree they really make the cars look a lot more authentic.
fritzzz - as nrtv20 says, the wing is the Tamiya Mclaren MP4-24 wing

and where would one find that sticker? is that this? http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=2562
That would do the job for sure. I used one from a local (Australian) eBay seller. The scale is out a bit on it but it does help you see the detail better!

I run the Sensor wire around the front to make sure the pod is free.

It is just carbon decals that are applied with great care . I recall this one being off of asiatees. I also applied it to the rear inner spoilers.

thanks! I had a good night of soldering and fiddling with the layout, and almost done for now. I just need some black servowire for the servo and esc I thought TQ racing used to have that so I could make an order including the Rsector widening set...but can't find it anymore :-(

Might want to check out the Tq1000 wire while your at it. It's sort of a 16/13 gauge hybrid.... Just rewired from 16g to this and...have zero pod tweak issues.

thing is, I had some stuff in the shoppingbasket @ TQracing and would expect them to have some TQ-wires in stock.
About 16awg wires, I've used turnigy wires, very soft and no pod issues on the bench ;-) now on to the bodyworks...
Here in WI you can get that very carbon vinyl(the good heavy stuff) at most automotive stores. It'll be in the vehicle accessory dept. Usually goes for about 8-9 $us for an 8"x 5' roll of it.

Has anyone modeled a popular f1 rc car in any CAD programs? I'd like to tinker around with some idea's, but I'd rather not start from scratch. FGX would be the best, but a f103/4 would work too!
any parts would help to, ie servo's, motors, esc's, etc.

I have a shock question for the group. I am building an Exotek F1R2 and I am considering which rear shock would be best. I am considering the Tamiya 53901 TRF Special Damper and the Tamiya 42102 TRF Special Damper Set. One shock versus four. I thought that having four, if the 42102 and 53901 shocks are truly compatible, would allow me to test different shock/spring combos more quickly.
Ideas and opinions on the compatibility/comparison of these two shocks?
