Think I'll try the hards next tire order for my mutant narrow 109. Maybe it will take over as my main F1 over the standard F109.
and i've had good luck with my RIDE 104 rims - of course, I'm not subject to having them fail the next time I run my 104, but I gave mine a stress test the last 2 times I ran the 104, and they've held up good

maybe, just maybe, they've improved their quality?????

Twice I gave my "good" Ride rim/tire to someone else who also had 1 good one left over after killin one.
Haven't bought any Rides for my 103 since but I never liked that car on rubber anyway.

I actually really like my 104 on the Pit rubber now.
I think I'm about the last to conform and admit that the 104 is finally a race car.

I am still running the same ride wheel and tire set on my f104 from vegas and I run twice a week and have had no issues and I hit a lot of stuff.

OK, the tires of choice are the Pit Shimizu 571 and 572 combo but don't tell anyone else.

Cuda,
will the pit rubbers hold up to the speed of a 13.5T motor? We have a large track and run 13.5T motors in our F1's.

They hold up just fine to a 13.5T motor.

Ride do the same I think... pretty sure the H1 Medium rears and H1 medium fronts are different compounds, as the rears feel waaaaaaaaaaay more sticky...

Man great video, that looks like a ton of fun, can you post a pic of the car with out its lid. I am looking to get the 104x1 and after this vid you posted i am SOLD on them. I want to see what the electronics look like if i decide to get one, which i am almost certain i will. I would have bought it today but my XRAYT3 2012 came in so i paid for that first. Thanks in advance.

I would hate to see those who are obsessed with all-out performance hijack the F1 class and ruin it the way 1/10 touring has been ruined. We already have those who promote the "shaved to the rim" foam tires on an F1 car, as well as "cheater" cars like the current Corally F1 car, which is nothing more than a pan car with an F1 body on it. Maybe those who are obsessed with that sort of thing out to start their own class and leave mainstream F1 alone.

I know that I'm going to be "flamed" for my comments, but I feel very strongly about this. All too often, the "performance obsessed" have hijacked various on-road classes and have directly contributed to it's decline as on-road has become overly expensive and complex for the average rc racer; and as a result, many have defected to off-road racing. F1 is my all-time favorite form of racing, and I don't want to see that happen with it!

Default F1 alive and growing over here!

I Agree let's keep f1 scale! Been working on getting a f1 class going at my local track and had a 6 car race last night! Yay, with a couple more interested in getting f1's as well. By far my favorite class. The track harbor hobbies f1 growing weekly. Peace

No problem.. hope these help.. had to grind the electronic mounts to a c shape but they are way cozy once the body and nothing has been ejected.. Little shoe goo would solve that issue.

Do not rule out the Exotek chassis. It has a ton of traction on ozite carpet. Traction rolling is slow corners was something I had to deal with. Rear grip was not a issue even with a 13.5T. Talk to BP shadow he put together an Exotek kit for me, so I did not have to buy a F104 kit and then the Exotek chassis.

Thanks for the plug Corey,
On that note the new Exotek chassis will be arriving any day now, and I also have a first gen Exotek that was assembled but only run a couple of times, essentially brand new
