Let's start right there. You were not at the 2008 carpet nats in Omaha, quite obviously. I watched 2 different factory drivers who always have their equipment together have their cars "un bind" on the starting line , causing a mad scramble to get their cars in working order. There were also issues at the indoor Champs in Cleveland with the same systems. I know I avoided 2.4 at first after seeing this play out in front of my face. I didn't buy a 2.4 system until I could get one that was pure 2.4ghz.

Well I obviously wasn't...however in late 07' (can't remember exactly...lol) I raced with a guy who was testing for Nomadio and they had no problems at all all winter long??? even when he ran low on voltage in the radio, and in the summer when his reciever pack dumped.... heck one weekend he even had another car t-bone him so bad the reciever case broke and the circuit board flew out... I saw the radio (and held it in my hands) at least 9 months before the "sneek peak" in rc car action....

Besides they where pro and how many independent driver had 2.4ghz.... (still in the testing phaze???)

The system was out. In fact they were giving out T shirts and stickers to promote it. I only pointed out they were pro drivers to make the point that they were not new guys or clueless.

As far as development, so far only the Yokomo car has really won anything. And your talking about the biggest names in rc working on those cars, factory efforts from Associated, Trinity, HPI, Delta, etc. I'm not saying it won't work, but they used the AE "new" front end for almost 20 years in 1/12, and the 'old' front end was out for almost 30 years...

They still wound up running the old stuff
I love wacky 1/12th cars, and the Yokomo looks trick, but if you ever see pictures of the car at the races it is winning they are not even using the spring on the center front shock. So they are doing something different to get it to work than what most people thought Yokomo would be doing with the front suspension.
Anyway, for F1 lots of different idea have been tried and the basic front suspension arms work the best. You name it and its been done.

The spring/s on that one were underneath the lower arms.

Those are HPI arms, the F1 arms are like that also.

That 7th pic with the Ferrari and the Lotus looks like a real F1 shot!

And how's that air-dam of a rear wing on that Force India in that 5th pic. Must be the Monaco aero package lol!

Lovin' the pics!

Default F109 is on the way!

Okay guys, so my F109 is on the way but.... there is no F1 racing where I live.

I do race with local guys that all have touring cars. I would like to run my F109 against their touring cars but will the F109 live through crashes in a touring car environment?

I already checked and I can run the F1 car because the races are for fun only.

Should I run my F109 or just go and pick up a touring car like a TB03 or TA05 for cheap?

I think the F1 is a pretty tough car.

I've crashed many times and walked away ok, just like anything else.

They can also snap stuff just like anything else.

Touring cars, 2wd buggies, SC Trucks even 1/8 scales can all break stuff with the right or wrong hit.

Race what you like best that day.

3 turn!!????

And please tell the photograph on some of those photos to stop sticking hes stupid email on the pics.

Inzane i have seen your excellent car once before.

Have you considered 1cell saddle packs wired in serial to lower the weight and size of the car?

3T would really be extreme overkill in these chassis - the 3 is for Speed Passion ver.3 motor (17.5T).

It's Andreas Borjessons' car - although it looks very much like mine (I'm using Robitronic ESC/motor).

About the watermarks on the pics - you can mail the photographer if you'd like any without them ... you know the address

The Swedish F1 rules stipulates minimum weight 1100 grams, if you use lighter Lipos you would need to ad lead instead. Our races are 30 minutes - so you can't go less than 4000mAh.
