Hello from France,
2 weeks ago , we raced the first round French championship,
and we don't make a nice result but we improve a lot cars.
First: major improvment on the chassis.
We always have understeering so we work on it.
We put the ball ends on the upside of the alu servo saver, we grind it and we put the servo saver on the head of the servo.
We gain 15° of steering and now the is so cool to drive: no more understeering, same comportment as the others.... Great!!!
I make some pics and post soon.
Second: the exhaust
We test the new Mielke inline special LD3/NTC3 exhaust, and WOWW, it's much better than what we ever test (HN, Asso or RD logics...).... Available soon.
Third: the engine
I test the new P/S for OS 12 TR Efra legal...It's AMAZING... Same power as the Italian Engines and always OS reliability and EasyToTune... It's the first time OS produce a machined piston (always molded piston in the past)...So light , so nice..
They also make an improved sleeve with very agressive porting: lot of torque every where and more high Rpm.
OS 12 TR machined P/S new 2004
See you soon with the other pics

do post some romuald! thanks in advance! guys, i tested my setup up yesterday. & i must say, i think this is the 1st time i have really enjoyed the car on the track (a rather smooth but slippery one because of dust,"dust storms" at times). there is still understeer but not like before with the stock grease (using 100K in front and 30K rear). using light blue rear and white front (both mugen springs) and 45 wt oil all around. using jeffrey lin's setup sheet (most of it). ill be trying nguyen's setup next time i run. ran out of fuel, spoiled the fun. next thing to test is putting 100K in rear, what would be the reaction with same diff oil for front and rear? hmm.. hehehe!
whats up bulldog? when are you coming home? need a fellow LD3 user, am the lone LD3 around here. just hope everythings well wherever you are.
spenzalii, got your message. thanks! yup, no LD3 dealers here. have to order elsewhere as of the moment. am just glad i have not broken any major parts yet.

romuald31, Great work ! I love custom mods (You should see what I did to my 1/8 buggy, made my own chassis braces etc) But I have not modified/made anything on the LD3 as of yet so I am very interested in the steering rack. Did you use the old type alloy rack (ie copy of plastic one) or the new alloy rack thats longer.
BTW If you are not already, run 100k In rear diff, its very very nice!!! Thats my last setup change and it's great! (thanks to those who recommended it!!!)

we have the long rack but we put the ball inside (longer tie rod) for a better Ackermann.
We use now cleaning putty in the front dif ( much better in fast corners), and 30.000 in the rear.
We often disconnect the front anti roll bar to steer more and more, but put thicker oil in the shocks.
My set-up (long permanent track)
Front:
dif: cleanning putty
shock: kit piston-oil 700-HN red spring
camber:2°
toe out: 1°
anti-roll: flat or none
196mm
caster: minimum (we will try to cut the arm for more steering in slow)
down stop: 5mm
Rear:
dif: 30.000
shock: kit piston-oil700-HN blue spring
camber: 2°
toe in: 2°
anti roll: flat or 45°
199mm
down stop: 4mm
Tyres: 40° - 61mm front - 63mm rear
HN stratus2 Body
OS 12TR E-spec 2004
Mielke inline 2004
0.8 new transmission
Try this set-up, you will be surprised....

Front = one-way
I didnt know he was running 2 diffs when I said that, I assumed it was (the Pro version) with one-way..

romuald31, whats the putty like? I take it is like a solid diff... Does it still take hairpin corners well or does it tend to push?
thanks
Reason I ask is I have a LD3 STD for play with 2 diffs hehehe
bulldog, follow romuald31...
thanks

bulldog, im running 100K front and 30K rear as of the moment. if i have time this week, ill try 100K all around. was thinking that the rear diff gets more stress than the front, the tendency is that 100K in rear will act thinner (as the engine and 2 speed are positioned in the rear, also thinking thats the reason rear tires are wearing the fastest). so, ill be trying it soon.. do come home soon! you got pm..
