Well then double check the gear mesh, and the entire drive train. If all is good, do double check the timing. It doesn't have to be slow or hesitate to be cogging. I've had my 17.5 make that same sound in 1/12 scale. I readjusted the timing in the esc and the noise went away.

Glad to hear it, your temp sounds perfect, just keep an eye on it as your ambient temp increases you might have to drop a pinion or a bit of timing, or look for a way to run some cooling, i run a heatsink on mine and a fan using the CR fan mount, though the fans tend to take a pounding and dont last long

Thats excellent, ive found the same, my mf2 really moves along and is able to clear jumps i never would have been able to with my 27T motors, the mf2 gearbox is a slightly different overall ratio compared to the CR which explains why your pinion / spur ratio looks a bit taller than the one for the CR, by my calcs, your running 5.9 fdr, i havnt gone that tall with my car yet, its summer over here and i didnt want to fry the motor, as it gets into our winter, i might give it a go

Thats what I was thinking, but my 17.5 barely even got warm. Ive since changed to 13.5 and man, that thing is a missle. Geared rite now at 76/24 which is bout 8.1. I wanted to keep it safe, and the track was tite. The truck was real loose as a result..

I have a 17.5 brushless which I cannot seem to gear right in my Type R.

I currently have it geared at 72/37. Any suggestions on getting the gearing right would be appreciated as at the moment it is only running at about 540 speed.

question I hope you might be able to assist me with. I have the xcelorin sensorless system (4800kv system) and I'm wondering if the esc will drive a 17.5 turn motor. any particular settings I need to look at?

Yes it will run the 17.5T motor - i suggest you run the latest firmware

ok i got a losi 17.5 combo a month ago and now its twitching at half throttle what could this be is it possible it may be the sensor wire??

I have had the same problem with a few different brand speedos, it was usually the sensor wire.
change sensor wires first.
(check loose connections of course)
then check motor.

Ok, having a problem, I put my xcelorin into a different truck w/ different radio, and at first it worked great. Then I went to program the radio to the esc and I got nothing. It rolled the wheels forward at a slow pace. I tried rev throttle position and that didnt respond at all. It programs normally, but it doesnt accelerate. I tried to interface with pc, and it says no communication w/ esc.
Any ideas??
