Hi,
the shop is also "switchable" to english.
I am looking for the new bigger spring retainers, which will fit to the HB Springs perfectly.
The new Tamiya Titanium blue Turnbuckles are very nice! They seem to be invulnerable. The colour is also more compatible to the 416 alu parts.

Hi All!
I got a TRF416 too, what's your solution to keep the sidebyside in place? Mayby someone uses the stick pack lower deck?

What is the shock component difference between the set in TRF416 box and the new TRF product in the plastic bag with TRF color label? In their own describ that they are all "hard black coat"...So...why Tamiya says that the new in plastic bag is "special black coat"???

on carpet Im running the 2,5mm - but my new set up is so different from the set-up on the 2,25 that i cant say the difference on the chassis only.
but car is still handling great, precise and fast.
New changes are
9,5T LRP Brushless
C/C Xa/E
and Hara springs "SuperHard" front and "Hard" back
otherwise everything is in accordance to Gilles DHI set-up
Running 9,5T - taking out the steering screw in the top deck gives to much steering....my 5€

Spring measurements revisited.
I got a hold of the HPI spring set (thanks J Arluck!), and I measured the spring rate. Two springs were measured and the results averaged.

* Tamiya has changed the coil count on their white spring in the Milky Blue set and the spring stiffness has increased significantly. The other springs remain virtually unchanged.
Note, if you view the entire force vs displacement plot, in general, the HPI springs are more linear and the Tamiya springs more progressive. This non-linearatiy happens within the first 0.05" (1mm) of travel and then everything is extremely linear.

So, 13.5 rubber on carpet. Spool or one-way? I heard some of the guys in Vegas ended up faster with a spool? How do you know when it's time to switch?
