oh, btw. Make sure when you set your corner weights. you have the bars disconnected!, then set one at a time so the corner weight values don't change. then reconnect the other bar and do the same.

Thanks for the answers...
So with a car that much maintained, how close are your values when you just lift the car and put it on the scales, or you put it on the scales and compress the suspension couple of times to let it settle?

Of course most of the problems will go away with a properly working car, but for example when I just compress the rear end, there will be more weight on the rear scales. That is what I can't figure out how to do it same again and again.

Default Capricorn Composite Diff Gears

Any info about Capricorn composite diff gears durability ?
Shaving 10 grams per diff might be an interesting upgrade...

Well, it is used as a stock part in Lab-c01, so I dont think it will be an issue.
There is also a racer in France telling that he ran the car for 4liters(about 4 hours) and no problems on the car.

I have them but haven't used them so far.
The original diff gears are a bit over-engineered since they don't wear at all. Never have to inspect them.
The composite ones, I would inspect regularly. And maube change them half around the season.
But like Musti says, they are used in the Capricorn car as well, and the stuff Capricorn makes is all of the highest quality.

I also have the differential gears (and alluminium diff pins) but I've not tried them yet. sorry..

Anybody has tried the capricorn's belts on the NT1??
Capricorn's belts seems to be softer than the xray's ones...

well regarding the belts, its almost always a trade off between belt life and belt stiffness / frictional losses.

I wanted to say that maybe capricorn's belts could be better than xray. I used the word "soft" in a positive way. A softer belt can give a smoother drivetrain...

If the capricorn ones are compatible with the NT1, those could be a valid alternative to the stock xray belts. Probably not so durable but not bad as the original options (that xray do not produce anymore).

ahh, well I don't see a problem with the xray parts. They last forever and work great. The side belt, tensioner, and pullies are what actually could use improving because if you notice when you build the front and rear they are ultra free. But when you include the side belt it gets a bit stiffer. I am working on some things to address this but stay tuned..

To make the stock belts a bit more flexible you can sand the top off the belt.
I use a dremel with a sanding drum for this.
You can sand it down till you start to see the kevlar threads. Don't go through the Kevlar otherwise the belt will snap.

its worth testing if its the same size. But I usually come back to xray factory parts on almost everything I test except for serpent pivot ball screws. In my opinion they are great.
