in your link to Losi Parts house, go to page 4, the Black and Green clutch springs are the 5th and 6th listed on page 4. Re: your shock oil question, click here for a link to Mike Truhe's setup (pdf). This is a great place to start, and you can always try thicker oils down the road if you want. Almost all the guys here start with, or are running a close version of this.

Nobody knows why the white o-rings are in there. Just toss them, or put them in your pit box for something else later.

Two questions:

Will http://www.fastenal.com/web/products...l.ex?sku=37006 work as those two 4-40 lock nuts? On the bottom of the servo saver and to secure the rear brace(I think).

Why would the 4-40 lock nut that was connecting the arm from the servo to the servo saver have ended up ground down to nothing? I'm thinking it must have been touching the out-drive. How do I prevent this?

Got to run mine for the first time this weekend, B main, not bad first time racing since I injured my hand in April. Esp sinc TQ was a Worlds Team member and I know at least 3 of the other guys have C main or better finishes at Nats in years past. Car is really responsive, fast when I was smooth, when I wasn't, weeeell, not so much, LOL.

Lars, what's your clutch setup on slick tracks? I was running the stock shoe setup with silver springs and it was too snappy, esp when my motor leaned a little in the main, ha ha ha. I was guessing maybe blacks on the Al shoes and leave the silvers or maybe gold on the composite ones? Didn't really play with setup at all 'cause I ran 4wd Mod also.

cjtamu - the last few weeks i've been running what mr. losi posted: gold on Alum's, green on Composites. Prior to that, i had run Silver/Alum, Gold/Comp 99% of the time. Most of our tracks are loose (on top) and I think the gold/alum green/comp seems to hit just about right for the conditions.

CPOH! Thanks dude. It was good meeting ya at the Nats (great job out there Again). Worlds should be a good ol' time.

Gold on aluminum & green on composite is dialed for sure!

So has anyone figured out what those little o-rings are for in the clutch shim set?

Just curious....

Hi guys, with the clutch shoes has anyone got any info or knowledge of just running the composite shoes. Is it better or worse? If so what springs should I use

u would run an ALL carbon set-up if u were on a SUPER slick Hardpack and didnt need all the snap like alum would offer and wanted alot of slip.......they will NOT last as long unfortunatly.

Here ya go. 8ight working on the surface of the moon, LOL. They hadn't watered since the week previous, I guess thinking they were going to get rain when Dolly hit further south. Didn't happen and it was super dusty. Thanks for the help on the clutch springs. Tight corners were the real problem, with it hitting so far up in the mid-range it would push every time I tried to give it throttle in the middle.
