Do you plan on getting a tc5f or tc5r or a tc5? The F and R version come with everything you need. The tc5 was lacking a few things but still a good car. I own both the F and R and both came out of the box with everything i needed. I bought some losi off road pistons because most of the set ups called for them. For the rubber car i also purchased a one way but that was a preference type of upgrade for my rubber car. Many people run the slipper spool (for Rubber) which is included in both the F and R kit.

Only bad thing I see is if you have to replace the spur it will take a while. You would have to remove the entire side plate. Nice work though looks well made.

When trying to obtain 3 degrees of toe in for the rear, is there any difference between putting 3 1 degree shims in the rear and none in the front as opposed to 4 in the rear and 1 in the front? I am trying to follow the setup of one of the local racers for a starting point and he says 3 in the rear is a must for our track...

Finished building my TC5R. Felt that the motor screws are short and weak
and will eventually strip because of the short threshold. So I changed it to
longer titanium screws. Now Im planning to change the 8 short screws of
the suspension holders to longer titanium ones.

Is this ok?

Josh H or anyone else running Rubber tire on carpet: Are you running hard parts on TC5R's? I thought I read that somewhere.

If the screws for the motor are too long you can damage your motor. I have not need any longer screws for the suspension holders.

Thanks Shiny. I'll be installing those part's tomorrow. I'm planning on hitting 360 for a practice session on saturdya. I need to get my R to be as good as my F.
