I ordered two sway bar kits TAM53842 (one from hong kong & one from cali) because I didn't feel like waiting for the one from Hong Kong - if anyone is interested in it. I should get the one from Hong Kong sometime next week. I'd sell it half price, unopened.

That's just awesome. It's like a TA05 v2 MS kit now!!! Did you buy those pieces individually? I personally can't wait for that upgrade kit to come out, hopefully, Tamiya will keep the price to be less than the kit itself was...

Looks like you went full aluminum on the front hinge blocks... Which one did you use? Did you get the kit's setting:

1xa-1a(2 pairs)
1A (1)
1D (1) <-- This one shows up int he picture...

Was preparing my chassis for a drift race this coming weekend when a horrible sound came from it. At first it sounded like the center pulley might have been chewed once again but after inspection it doesnt look like it so i decide to strip the centers apart. To my horror, the cantrilevel shaft wouldnt budge. So after some light hammering i manage to pry it off and upon inspection, the shaft seems to be worn. Dab a little anti-wear grease and slide it back on while checkin my pinion, spur, pulley and belt hoping that it will last me for this 2 days in which we have 40 cars in EP Drift Touring. 6 cars are belt-driven while the rest are all shaft driven. Format of the race are 4 qualifying heats of 5 minutes per heat. Hope all goes well for me this time around.

Here is the shell i am using for the race.

Yeah I got everthing from Hong Kong, I just had to I even enquired with Tamiya about a carbon v.II chassis and they said that they are going to release one but didn't have a date. The suspension blocks are the same as the kit setup.

What's a cantrilevel shaft? I want to keep an eye on mine too if you can explain what you mean...

I'm waiting for Speedtech to stock some parts, not sure what Jeff is planning to stock. I'm thinking of hitting up rcmart and just get it done with. Meanwhile, get some new M-Parts tree since one of my 1XA-1A blocks are somewhat busted... A hard crash and the pivot ball in the rear left arm pulled out, actually more like RIPPED out of the hinge blocks... That's why I'm hoping going aluminum would prevent that and just let the impact stay all in the arms. I rather replace an arm, which are supported at my local track, than the M-Parts, which are not...

Whoa, have you guys seen this?

http://www.stellamodels.net/catalog/...oducts_id=3762

It's 3Racing's TA05 chassis, version 3.0!

I wonder if 3Racing's 3.0 = Tamiya Version 2?

Wait, isn't this shaft riding on bearings? How did it get jammed?

Yes it is. From the looks of the shaft, it looks like its been very tight there cos i see the shaft somehow like being chewed on

Are your bearings worn out causing the shaft to wobble because of a lot of play?

Funny thing is i checked both bearing and they are fine. The shaft is not wobbling. Cant seem to find what is cause the shafts to be tight and worned. After greasing the shaft and running it once more, it sounded well. No more crunching sound. Might be im having so much torque on my motor that the center shaft seems to be really dry and cause the wear on it

No it's their version of the chassis. They've made more than one conversion, this is the 3rd one. It has nothing to do with Tamiya's version numbers.
