Tamiya mini cooper
Or use some heatshrink over the joint if space allows.

Last friday somebody crashed into my car and suddenly I saw my rear wheel flying away.
It came loose with the axle *and* the two ball bearings, meaning somehow it pulled the rear bearing straight through the plastic rear hub.
Installed it again and it seems fine, but I'm kind of worried my wheel can come loose again - if it managed to pull through the plastic once it could happen again, right ?
Has this happened to anybody else or is this a once in a lifetime thing ?
(Or to rephrase - would this be the moment to buy the aluminum upgrade ? )

Hi all,
Did anyone save the info from rc-mini.net before the site was taken down? It was good stuff and I'd love to find a copy.

Hi guys,
I'm considering an M-05, plenty of info here, but I have one question. I do not want the Pro II. I have all hop ups to make the regular 5 into a Pro II. But can I buy the central chassis parts of the Pro II and fit them to a regular 5, so a hard case (not stick pack) lipo will fit? A Mini at Banzai doesn't brake the bank, and with this mod I'd be able to use my racing packs.
Cheers,
Hugo

Is this what you're looking for?

Yes, it is. Unfortunately, the A parts in that manual are not part numbered. They do seem interchangeble with the regular A parts, 51389, looking at the pictures...
[EDIT] I think the motor mount is different, too, since it's not part numbered in the V2 Pro manual [/EDIT]
Anyone tried (and succeeded) to just cut the regular M-05 chassis to fit a lipo??

Yes, motor mount mount is different. There is a ver2 motor mount. By the way, I'm looking for new shocks, will it be better to get the TRF short shocks or just get the mini shock #5400?
Tech Regular
TRF are the best, I heard, I have 50746.

For those that are interested and want spares, the 7-digit spares for the chassis and arms are on our site. The official 5-digits spares and motor mount have yet to be released.

You can use the old motor mount. (Though you may need to leave out the 1.6mm spacer behind the spur) All you really need are the chassis parts, lower arms and rear hinge pins.
I'm hoping to see parts soon. I need spares!
EDIT: Chassis and other spares are showing up on rcmart, stellamodels and a few other sites now. Less than $9 for the A parts. Not bad!

Is there a source for the two long screws that hold the rear lower suspension to the chassis on the M03? (No idea what the right term for it is)
I ran my M03 in snow last winter and the snow + residual water for a full year ended up rusting both of my screws to the point of seizing the suspension. Even WD40 couldn't fix it. I can't seem to find a good source for replacements, and am feeling stupid for selling of my pair of spare chassis earlier this year.
Thanks for the help!
