You need Tamiya #42205.
Seriously, they are too different. It isn't worth it buying all the parts to upgrade it. Just buy the 417X. It will save you a lot of hassle, and you will get a new and fresh car.

So, does anyone have a great setup for the Tamiya USA track they are willing to share using tamiya b3 tires?

I am headed up there this week to test out my 417x. I am using tamiya medium inserts and shaved the middle because there is some extra rubber flash. other than that I am using David Jun set up

If its a new track I usually try the third hole in both front and rear and then do some test laps.

lol i was just joking! no hard feelings just like starting things! anyways back to your question. for outdoor twisty short track (tamiya usa)i always use 3 hole piston and tamiya mineral #40 shock oil with hpi silver springs frt/back. adjust spring tetainer 7mm rear and 5mmfrt try the new xring oring (70 durometer) and use configuration oring/s spacer/l spacer on bottom shock! i notice shock shaft doesnt wiggle left and right alot

ps.. i have an Xray nt1!

What? Your kidding right. You need a set-up? Are you still using your "Infamous 414"? There's a 414, 415 , 415X, 416 that TQ'd this last TCS , 417 and 417X take your pick on what set-up!
