they are tough. not too sure if you need hubs and arms. but never a bad idea to have that stuff. i have broke a rod end. maybe get a set.

This is codswallop! I have and built a Kyosho ZX6 and Xray XB4 and the D413 is BY FAR the most sloppy and flexible and least well parts fitting kit.
@Mes - after building the VBC Firebolt and Wildfire, I think you'd be disappointed with the way the D413 goes together. If you're looking to find enjoyment in your build in comparison to the VBCs, the D413 is not the one to get ... but this is purely from a build perspective.
As per performance, I've not had a chance to run my D413 yet but Ty's Nats win speaks for itself

Thank you everyone for your input! Maybe I'll have to be patient this time and wait for the VBC, or add a third box to my collection of B-Max4 cartons...

If you break arms on this car, you need to slow down and practice your driving, LOL JK. Arms are never a bad idea (stray car going backwards on straight). This thing is a tank and the only other thing I would recommend is getting a few different flavors of diff fluid, so that you can tune the car to your track as the kit setup is just a good starting point. The car will improve significantly if the diffs are tuned properly.

I guess I don't understand the comments about bad build quality. The car does have some slop, this point I agree with but I don't know if it has anything to do with building the car. Or if it is flexible, this seems like a design choice and one of the reasons it is so durable. When I think of build quality, I think of having to trim parts off plastic trees or things not lining up forcing me to ream something out or force it into place or a ballstud not being free when installed (maybe a design choice on this other car).
But the D413 had none of those issues. I heard a few had a bad part or two. In my case it went together very well and I liked how everything was put together into clearly labeled bags. The building experience was equal to any of the other cars that I have built.

Well, there is a few things I dont like about this car. But it is stupid durable. I was smiling last week when I thought I broke it......but the motor just came loose. I was a little disappointed, lol. The car drives really good. Durable and drives good. I can ignore the slope with that combo

Tough decision... As it is probably only for a limited time, the D413 might be the better option due to its better resale value hereabouts. Built like a tank and great handling don't sound too bad either. I need an excuse to try an orange Xpert servo and black Viper brushless system with (probably) orange motor anyway!
