My son and I had fun with the FGXs yesterday. I should not have changed gearing on mine. I switched to a 25 from a 22 pinion. Way to big of a jump. Of course I left my gears at home... The car was a little too stiff for the track, but I just drove it anyway for the day. It was still really good. I was my son's first time racing this chassis and he loved it. His was sprung softer and geared right. He had a better fast lap than I did. We had no issues keeping up with the direct drive cars on the long straight. We just need more practice.

Everybody seems to be selling their fgx, I wonder why...

Hmmm, exotek said nothing about the ifs mount, I wonder if he is still making a part for it because its not in the v2 chassis.

Do you race on carpet?

Yes, Ozite. There is lumpy concrete due to a crack in the floor under the carpet in one corner and the car is not taking it well. Normally I can go flat out in a section like this, straight to sweeper. I'm thinking one step softer spring and add switch to the 2 hole piston in the damper. I'll probably have to go up a mil in ride height so the rear end doesn't drag due to chassis role.

Exotek's page for the v2 chassis says a lot about IFS.

Ok, so it says on the v2 page? I'll re look at it. I read it from my phone so it's hard to read the entire page.

It says they are coming out with a IFS lower mount set and an alloy ball stud brace.

I give up too much to the direct drive f1s on the straights. Will probably sell it and go with the TA04 v2. after all the FGX is a pan car trying to be a touring car.

Ta04v2..... F104v2.
I enjoy both fgx and f1r. I want to get a f104v2 also some day. It's too late to ask Santa to bring me one. About 33 years too late. LOL.

Exotek fgx v2 chassis is available for ordering.
I just ordered one.
I wonder if the balancer plug will fit thru the slot.

I'm a bit confused; what is the difference between the Exotek FGX-EFX V1 and the V2?
I don't see any changes! The IFS mount will be a separate part from the chassis, and the adjustable upper front arms shown in the pic of the chassis are not part of the chassis set, but are also sold separately; so what are the differences between V1 and V2?

Am I missing something?

They look different but functionally I don't know what the improvements are.
The lower deck is narrower and the front nose section has countersunk screws instead of button heads.
