No. He is referring to rear only. XA-D will give you 2.5 toe in on rear, XA-E 3.0, F 3.5
On front the kit comes with A/A. You can increase front width by going to B/B or C/C. The wider the front the calmer the steering.. Too wide will make it numb.
You can go B/C or C/D in front .. That creates arm sweep which is good for tracks with tight corners. For initial set up, I would avoid the sweep set up.

No the other way.. C block on outer front and B block on inner front. This creates 0,5 toe out and as the front arm compresses it sweeps up and in, versus being linear on C/C blocks.

OK that makes much more sense now. I have the same setup on my trf417 and I'll most likely set it up the same as my raceberry 417.
I wish Tamiya made 20t center pulleys to make the IDR 1.85. Does anyone use the 3racing Sakura gears to acheive this?

besides looking cooler and allowing low nose bodies there isn't really a reason to.

not much difference. IFS is only very slightly slower responding due to the extra linkage play in the system but nothing major for me.

If you have a track that has the short and fast S transition ,the up right shock tower is better than IFS.The IFS works but a little lazy compare the UP Right shock tower...

Since I think I have enough parts from before, I'm building an IFS for display and an upright for a runner. I still believe that the TA05 platform is a formidable intermediate touring car from Tamiya.

It may be an older style chassis which is not so lipo designed/friendly but still a very good chassis for how much you can get them for now.
It will never be a TRF, but it is no where near the cost of a TRF chassis either!

With Alloy toe blocks and better (TRF or equivalent) shocks, it is still one of the most competitive and durable kits Tamiya have released imo.
It may be an older style chassis which is not so lipo designed/friendly but still a very good chassis for how much you can get them for now.
It will never be a TRF, but it is no where near the cost of a TRF chassis either!

Here's my current setup with the discontinued EX05 Lipo chassis. Still a performer!

A nice chassis in any guise, even the tub chassis is good for protecting the electronics, albeit a little flexible. I have the graphite (silver woven look) 3racing twin deck chassis and shock mounts version of the TA05 with trf shocks, lightened pulley and I have a spool/one way for it somewhere too iirc.

It has not been used for a while as I have a T4 '13 but in time I will either be sad to see it go, or let it gather more dust until my sons are old enough to use and (try to) abuse it

I have a TRF car but somehow and I don't know why, I still enjoy driving my TA05 than any other chassis.
Nothing like it.
I am also a proud owner of the 30th anniversary TA05. of which I have no intention of using nor selling.
