"HPI promises "a complete re-think of the standard TC design""
That's interesting. Hope they can keep their promises. If i recognize the design, I'll sue their asses for what they're worth.

I still have my Pro4 and I still love it. I hope the Pro5 is a shaft driven car. Maybe it could have a very low CG just like the Awesomatix A700 does.

Also, if it's orange I'll be mad. HB are purple. The orange "5" is a worrier...

Aside from the Pro 4, all the previous HPI Pro cars were belt drive.
I'm really hoping for a shaft drive car with the motor mounted in the correct configuration and not like the TB04 layout...
Shaft drive with updated TC technology =

The pro3 had the right idea. The Losi Type-R and the TA06 too. Maybe they are revisiting that design who knows...

It was an interesting concept, I think they later found out that putting everything down the centre doesn't work. Pro 2 was a decent car with saddle batteries

Hahaha aren't they getting too ahead of themselves, they still cannot keep the d413 on the shelves (doesn't seem like they sell that many), its just parts are still spotty and now a new car? Why can't some hobby company with enough $$ just pump some damn money into their operation? Their cars are top notch pieces of engineering, but qc and volume are still suffering. End of rant, if they can make something like a awesomatix for half the price, ill be back in tc

I think HPI/HB win the "Null Announcement" award for 2014, it tells me that there isn't probably anything worth getting excited about with this car when the initial announcement for the car tells you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the car.

The penguin rc CF chassis fixed all flex issues. And there was no front spool available or a gear diff. It was a nun finished idea that should have been more carefully designed . In my opinion they rushed it and nobody could forgive them for that. It's not a joke. Pro-3 was the right idea way b4 anybody was looking at battery down the center. Let's hope this won't be an epic failure .
