Just been building mine, 1 of my diff screws didnt have the hex head cut into it, it was just blank so am having to wait for that to come as had no spares.
The pins in the pulleys on the layshaft are to short and flop around in there like crazy, I shimed it so they were tight, I know under centrifugal forces they would just stay in the outer spot but I thought it wasnt very good engineering.
1 of my m3 screws for the shock mounts had a dodgy start to the thread as well, I have loads of these so not a worry.
Im a bit dissapointed so far with these couple of items..
Have you guys had any issues like this or have I just been really unlucky.

Hi, I am located in canada, ontario, and been searching for this kit, can any one hep me out and point me in the right direction as to where to purchase this kit, I tried advance hobbies as they used to carry xray, but do not have it and do not want to order it anymore, but they still have a couple of brand new t1 for sale lol, so if any one knows of a hobby shop in ontario canada, that will have it in stock thanks

I finished the M2.5x6 screw when disassembling the gear diff. Material too soft. Replaced it by 10.9 steel screws which should last for eternity.

The local hobby stores don't cater to on-road racing. I would be shocked to see any of them with a new xray in stock. At best you might find one with a TC6.
Just order one from Canwest RC canwestrcshop.net or from another online shop.
Lou's Speedway in Dorchester (near London) stocks xray parts and he was getting a few t3'12 kits in, but I think they were all spoken for.
The only LHS that stocks a good amount on-road racing related items is muchhobby in richmond hill, but they don't stock xray.

sould i just wait for the 417x, or is this car a lot better car, i have alway had a tamiya, jut sold my 417 never build it .I used to have the first t1 when they came with the set up system included with the kit and never liked the car , but if i were to get this car, where can i find the part numbers for the battery holder as in the above picture, part number of if they even make a ball diff for the rear, and the aluminum xray shocks, I,ll order from nexus racing and might as well place a bulk order for everything, or like i said just wait for the 417x thanks

Did they change a lot on the 2012 version? I'm thinking of buying a second hand 2011 version because a lot more cheaper for me. The 2011 T3 that I'd like to buy has a spec R gear diff in it btw.
