I don't know if this is normal with the center pulleys? I hear a funny noise from the pulley. Feels like the pins move back and forth when it spins. The pins are undersized, and the manual says you need to use 2x12 pin, but when you meausre the inner diameter of the pulley its around 2x13 and pin is 2x11.80.

XRAY XB808 - 2011 Specs Conversion Set
Part number: # 350903
$429.95
Uhh, thats an off-road conversion kit. I don't know the part numbers etc, but the conversion parts I bought from RCA through my LHS came to around $150 for a chassis, top deck, steering bits. I went from an '11 to a '12 and already had the clamps and the gear diff.

I don't have any noise, but if it bothers you, get some 2mm drill blank rod from McMaster.com and cut some new pins.

Heres a shot of my 12. Ran the car the car this past weekend and was amazed at the out of the box tune. The car has so much grip it actually seems to be slowing itself down in the corners LOL Once I get that little gremlin figured out this thing is gonna be DIALED!!

I ran mine this Sunday and will have to say it was so quiet that I never heard it, even when it would come in front of the drivers stand. I could hear others cars but not mine. It's the quietest car I've ever had.

I already fixed the problem. It was pissing me off because when the car would slow down, there was a ticking noise

Mine did the clicking thing. I just threw a tiny piece of cleaning putty in there with the pin and it keeps it snug.

What bodyshell is this? You may find you'll go quicker with a speed 6 or and ltc- r (unless of course this is your show body?)

Noob question here, have not raced on road for a while and looking at getting back in to it, have picked up a T3 '11 pretty cheaply and will convert it to a '12, what's the go with a gear diff ? My understanding is ball diffs are better ?

If you are clever with a dremel its quiet easy to grind away the chassis to make it look like and give similar flex to the 12, you can also mod the top deck by cutting out the rear cross brace. No point in buying front and rear towers unless you already use the bottom shock position same goes for the roll centres too. East west servo position is another easy mod.

Ball vs gear is more difficult to answer, it makes the car handle and feel different, need to try for yourself, if you like it it saves a lot of diff rebuilds, if you dont its just cost you £35.

I buy all my parts here, not 100% sure but they seem to have them in stock, if not they generally get them ordered in pretty quick.

EDIT: They also seem to have the knuckles and C hubs.

Last week I finally got my 12, and was wondering if anyone else was missing their setup manual that has come with every other Xray I have owned.
