I can see what all the fuss is about now. The 518Stock just feels so much smoother than the 119stock.

However, I do think the 119stock has a lot more power / top end speed.
The main difference is that with the new software temps are lower and because of that you can run more timing.

Particularly at Edgeworth with such an open layout... But also has some very slow sections.... Plus 35c + temps during the day... Track around 65c

Cant wait to try new software this Saturday night!

Here is what you need to do.

1) Navigate to program Files on your C drive
2)Make a copy of the Hobbywing USB 1.63 Folder
3)Then delete the original folder
4)Extract the contents of this RAR file to the program files folder
5)The new folder will replace the original one in its' entirety
6)Then your usual shortcuts etc will start up the newer version

It is easy and is a workaround until the new executable is available.

NEW FOLDR RAR ^^^^
OK i tried the above and stuffed it up completely. I then started up my old version 1.62 as a back up and it automatically wanted to update me to the 211 software. Easy as pie...

Your settings above for 119 have no where near the same amounts of boost and turbo as your 518 settings. What was the temps of those 2 runs as i would bet you could bump up the boost on the 119 and go quicker again.

Thanks for that. I had a feeling the 119 was a little conservative but I wansn't sure.

I didn't have a temp gun but yes the 119 was a lot cooler than the 518 after the ten laps.

What boost setting do you think I could safely use with 119stock ?

Only temped run can tell you how far you can go but I would think if you pushed the boost up to 40 to start with and maybe push boost timing out to 400 that will keep temps in check

Default Green Blinking During run bug 2

The Green Blinking is identified as anti lock rotor detection, and switch to sensorless mode.
but the rotor was fine, and no cogging detected.
this is only happen when kicked.

the problem is when Green Blinking happen it slowed down, as switching
to sensorless mode, and doesn't back to sensored mode.

Default Steps or degrees?

need more power>add more timing
motor overheating<less timing

Well then it would be just as smart to make the boost start rpm in percent wouldn't it?
Instead of 1000-15000rpm you could just go 0-100% because no one could ever be interested in knowing what speed the timing is started to beeing added or?

Sorry but i don't agree here, degrees are degrees and they are universal.
All the previuos softwares have been in degrees and i for one really like the idea that 5 degrees on the endbell equals 5degrees in the software!

It's a completely different ballgame in the case of for example the Punch setting or the brake. You cannot meashure it in any good way so here % or steps or whatever is good.

And unfortunately it isn't as easy as putting more timing in always makes more power.
It's a case of putting exactly the right amount of timing in at the right point as more timing at low rpm can make less torque hence less power.

That beeing said. The hardware and software are truly awesome for the price and at this point i would not considering anything else!

Thank you Hobbywing but please bring back the degrees in the upcoming softwares!!!

At the very least provide info on how many actual degrees of timing the new 211-213 softwares have so i can calculate how many degrees 1 step represents!

hey matt... i believe that HW change from degrees to step is to get as lower temperature as it could... as i mentioned at earlier post, 119 could reach at least 5'c lower than 1224 with the same speed... for me who running 10.5t at 7.4v, i'll not turning to 1224 once i run 119... cant post 211 review as i dont have chance to test it yet... but 211 got good revise from our group interm of low, mid n top speed compare to 1224 and 119...
