^^^^^ ignore all that...he didn't read your post and instead posted a bunch of stuff about one-ways, not spools (and a bunch of other stuff that didn't have anything to do with your question).
The basic lowdown is that you should find the car easier to drive with a spool. You WILL have maximum four-wheel braking and the car will have more on-power steering than with a front diff. The trade-off is a little less off-power steering.
Just keep an eye on the outdrives for wear. Over time, the dogbone pins tend to wear into the outdrives because running a spool is a little harder on the drivetrain since it doesn't have the "give" that a diff has in an impact.

Thanks for bashing me though. I appreciate it.

Also, thanks for posting that link dragnse7en, deffinitly will help me out!

.
If a front dogbone comes out, is there a chance that would cause the car to jam up?
I was running it(less than 10 seconds) and it jammed up, so I thought there was a rock stuck in a gear or diff. So I took everything apart and inspected it, no rocks in the diffs and no rocks in pinion or spur gear.
The only thing I could find wrong was one of the front dogbones was loose, so I put half a red bushing in to fix that. So far it hasn't jammed up.
But I don't remember my old TA05 jaming up from a loose dogbone before I got CVD's or universals.. (lonngggg time ago 2005-6 and I do have a bad memory)
And I was driving it at LOW speeds everytime. (too afraid to speed it up before I find out what's wrong for sure. Don't want to damage anything too bad..)
the only other thing I could think up it might be something inside the motor?
Also, my pinion/spur are set so there's a little play bettween them..
What do you guys think?
Any advice helps
Thanks

Relax (again!)...not really bashing you. Just making sure he got the right info, especially since info for a one-way is much different than info for a spool.
For example, while I don't have a TA05v2 to weigh, I'd guess that it's probably closer to 4 lbs. than the 1.35 lb. you mentioned. ROAR minimum weight is 1420g, which is 3.130564123 lb. The TA05 platform is known to be a bit of a pig, so I'd guess that the car is probably a bit over that value. At any rate, for sh!ts and giggles, let's say the car is 1420g and travelling at a speed of 25mph (splitting your 20-30mph example) when it slams into your leg as you stood there marshalling the track (and let's say it stops the car in the distance of 1/2ft)...the average impact force your leg would feel is actually about 130.8 lbs.
Ahh, it's all semantics. I'm sure Zac gets the picture. I guess I should've said you "didn't read [Zac's] post correctly."

Hey guys, just picked up one of these with a subaru body. Anything that I should look for in the build??? Any tips/tricks???
Also, can you recommend an ESC please??? I want to run the stock motor for now, as it fits in the rules of my track (27 brushed), but I might want to upgrade to a b/l system later. My track is OPEN ESC. Not looking to set records.

Does anyone know if the after market Gear diffs (Spec-R ,I think) made for the Tamiya 416 will fit in the TA05 Ver 2?
Thanks
Thanks

Not sure about the TA05 V2, but a 115 64p in the regular TA05 with the carbon fiber or aluminum spur brace will fit. It hangs out the bottom of the chassis just a bit. Running carpet was ok. The first time out on pavement I jammed it up with a pebble. Found that a 108 64p can run pretty well either carpet or pavement.
