Geppetto,
Concerning your question about the weight of the graphite chassis -- unless the composition of the material has changed in the last month or so, the graphite chassis is lighter than the stock chassis, even before the extra cutouts are milled out. I got hold of an unmilled, graphite chassis (a friend of mine's brother happens to be the co-founder of the company which makes the chassis for Losi), and it was already about 0.9 ounces lighter than the stock chassis. Therefore, my guess is that the milled out graphite chassis should be well over a full ounce lighter than the stock chassis. FYI, I weighed each chassis using a digital postal scale that had a resolution of 0.05 ounces, so each chassis's weight could have been off by about 0.025 ounces, meaning that the error in the weight difference (0.9 ounces) shouldn't be worse than 0.05 ounces (1/20th of an ounce).
Regards,
George K.

Does anyone know if losi will be releasing a xxxs pro, kind of like associated and yokomo did. you know, one that will have upgraded shocks, turnbuckles, swaybars, oneway, graphite chassis etc.
I would like to buy one but i can wait.

Actually, I think they're waiting for the sales to drop off on the kits and the upgrades, then they'll offer the world's edition (or whatever they name) to increase the revenue.
I personally think it's a cheesy way to do business because you are forced to WAY overpay for the competitive chassis that you really want by buying it in the composite form and then upgrading almost EVERYTHING in the kit.
Don't get me wrong, I like Losi and their cars, but I'm not a big fan of their marketing tactics. If you think they do it this way (waiting for a year or so to release the full race kit) because they have to get everything into production, or to find someone to name it after, then I have some bridges you might be interested in..... lol
If everyone would quit buying their stuff until they offer the full race kit (yea, that'll never happen) maybe they would reconsider waiting so long to release it and quit forcing us to buy the standard version and spend another $250 on it to upgrade. I personally will wait for the race version to come out. I waited for the MF XXX-T, cause I was determined not to spend $475 on a kit that would cost $240.
just my $.02

Darkside: Actually, I still have the Special (raced it the same day that I bought the xxx-s). I was ready for something new, and with the start of the indoor season here in Maryland, I thought that I'd try my hand at touring cars on carpet (the Losi), rather than 1/12th that I had done in the past.

You said a while back that you can get great numbers out of an MVP. Can you please let me know your brushes/springs setup and anything else you do to the motor. I have been running P2k's for a while now and I want to try the MVP. I need lots of torque and punch. Thanks in advance.
