I just used tape here, put the inner brace on the centre of the chassis to stop the battery moving inwards. Had one the outer braces go into a brand new battery in a crash.

Seems like the motor mount will have two sets of motor mount holes for different gearing options.. maybe
Hopefully they release an upgrade kit. The motor mount sucks for spec blinky class, cant get the gearing with the current motor mount.

with an 88T you can get gear form -3.0 to 3.9 with no issue.

yeah we are running 21.5 blinky, most guys are at 2.6-2.8 at my local track, also run 48 pitch gearing cause ive got so much of it for my other cars. 417 been retired for the moment, had an unwanted meeting with a corner marker and pulled a screw thru the lower deck.

couple of squares of plastic from the transponder mount included with the bumpers, super glued to the bottom of the packs to fit in the chassis holes. Only use them in the front and rear holes, and do a very good job of locking the packs in place.

Hi Graham (welcome to the blue side first... )

Take a look here, gives a long list of useful stuff to know about the car, and I've put a load of part numbers in there too (including split blocks).

Hi Ed
I have already had a good look through your very usefull site. Ran the car on carpet for the first time and was very impressed, i think i need to get a set on white springs as the kit blue/yellow was too soft. That and some 46mm shafts for the spool.

Springs would be;
TAM53440 (Standard Colours)
TAM49382 (White coloured)

There used to be a milky blue set as well... but they are impossible to find anymore.

For the spool, I can strongly recomend the Roche spring steel outdrives. I've switched to them a while back, with 44mm front shafts, and they still aren't showing any signs of wear, despite having about 8days of running modified on them (talking about 10-15runs a day)... very impressed.
