If you mean the TOP rims,from what I remember when I tryed them out they were brittle and Sorex tyres were bit lose on the rims

Yes, they are the solaris tires. They work good. We have them as a spec tire about twice a year at some of our big races. They look really cool too

Well my local carpet track finally opened for the winter today! Got to try out the new exotech narrow chassis. It worked well. I started with my setup that I had on the car from last year with the stock chassis, the car cornered much better and seemed to be more stabile. Anyone run a u-pro gear diff in the front with the diff lock puddy. How much do you put in. I have mine about half or more full. Rear I have 40 wgt shock oil but a friend of mine has any xray car with the gear diff and runs a very small amount like just a few drops of sewing machine oil in his. Should I try that in the rear of mine, not sure what affect that has.

Without seeing what you're running, typically thicker shock oil/heavier front spring, or taking some flex out of the chassis is a good place to start.

Right now im running a front spool with a rear gear diff filled with 2000. Most people here seem to run anywhere from 1000-2000 oil.

For those of you in SoCal or can come down, we are having an open sedan chassis club race at the famed Tamiya track in Aliso Viejo, CA. This is a great chance for you Photon drivers to drive on a track that is normally reserved for Tamiyas only!



Speedtech RC presents The Grand Club Race at the world famous Tamiya Raceway. Join us on Saturday, November 5, 2011 for this special one day racing event. Open TC chassis, open tires, open battery, open body, and tons o fun.

Pre-registration is now open. Preregistration price is $15 for your first class and $10 each additional. Sign ups on race day will be $20 for your first class, $10 additional.

No, but you can use the pin eliminators. They work pretty good!

We all run the Xray ones, you will need xray chubs, steering knuckles and side piece racing MIRA out drives (fit the stock spool). BIG difference in corner speed vs stock.
