I am here to help if you need it(PM) but guess Cobra has it all pretty much covered. We will take the time to destruction test the new software to see how far we can push the equipment and update you soonish.

Updated both my lcd program box and my 120a 1S ESC to the new 110119 version, can't wait to try it!...

@Cobra, what's the idea behind this new version so soon after the 101224?...
Is it because with the 1224 at max timing of 46 degrees (38 boost, the rest with turbo) everything still stayed cool, so there is room for more timing?...
Or, was this max. 46 degrees actually not 46 but the mentioned 60?......
Or, because the 1224 never reached the hobbywing website, it was a sort of pre-release, a "teaser"?

Nevertheless, for those who like to use a laptop, this works again.

@cherry2blost, the ESC you send, reached it's destination!....
Thanks for the fast response!

I tested the new fw0119 with SP 11.5t v3.0 today, mine has adjustable timing maybe for TITC this year it will be same as last year's handout SP that has got fixed timing. Here's the set-up I ended up with after 3 packs of testing. I might fine tune it again, maybe trying different FDR and start rpm.

4-7
9-37
10-6
12-25
13-3
14-5
15-15
Motor end bell timing at max 10deg
FDR 6.88
Max Temp 70C

Track is technical infield with long straight, medium grip. Temp is almost like in Thailand, I also live in South East Asia. I m happy with the torque and top speed of this new firmware. The best so far....great job Hobbywing.

From my resourse, I know that 101224 has some new technology special for Hobbywing motors and make the motor cooler and faster. But compare to 110119, for those motors not have high torque, 1224 will "waste "some timings because these motors can not load higher FDR like hobbywing motors. Because hobbywing is preparing TITC in Feb., so the newest 110119 comes out shortly after the 1224 and is better for SP motors after our test recently.

Hi,

What's the recommended FDR for SP motors (TITC Spec) with 119 f/w?

Thanks.

Jonest, I think you can start from 6.5. Depands on the track layout.

Default 1224 is also a good FW.

From my opinion, These two versions are the best till now. So don't discard 1224 until you test it under your own situation and find 0119 is better.

I gave the latest software another run out today.

Took TQ ! wont say about the finals because that wasnt so good - not ESC's fault though .

quicker overall I feel than the previous stuff, slightly less pull after the initial punch compared to 518, but the new stuff is more top end and more initial ooomph!

Motor was still 75-80 degrees C after 5 minutes, but I had it wound right up compared to 518, so the lower temps of the new stuff allowed me to push the motor a little harder.

anyway great day with the ESC - I wonder what tomorrow will bring....
