Thank you for the apology Angelo.

You have restored my faith in HW once again. I am looking forward to future HW products, and especially cant wait for you to establish a North American dealer.

Shawn.

XtremeStock has a 6V BEC, where the 60A has a 5.75V

I dont see a reason to go with the 60A.

Anyone else have a comparison?

I believe this is the case, as I ran a 5.5t with the STOCK version for a bit (couldn't upgrade the software due to no net connection), so just turned the boost settings off and worked from there.

And agreed and thanks for the explanation Angelo.

Setup for 10.5 in TC.

Track - 50m straight with mixed infield
Motor - SP v3 10.5, motor timing on max
FDR - 6.5
Firmware - 0119

9 - 40
10 - 3
12 - 20
13 - 3000
14 - 3
15 - 200

The car was superb on the straight, with very good mid-range and top end. A little faster than with the 518 firmware I think, which used to lack mid-range.

Initial acceleration out of low-speed corners was okay, but could be better. This feels worse than the 518 which was very good out of the corner. Possibly a higher FDR will help here as long as it doesn't imact the straight speed too much.

Motor temp was only 45deg, compared to 70deg with the 518 firmware, so this is a huge improvement. Should make for more consistency throughout the run, especially on hot days (its 0deg outside at the moment).

I'm going to be installing a Novak Sentry data logger so I can analyse the performance in a bit more detail, and I'll also test the 1224 firmware to see if this offers any advantage. With the motor only at 45deg there seems to be room to improve the performance even more, but I'm already at the 60 "degree" maximum timing on the 0119, so the 1224 is worth a go.

Please correcting that the right version is V3.0_101224STOCK
V3.0 = is a Third Generation Software
Do not Compared it with
V2.0_101224STOCK
V2.0 = is a Previously Second Generation Software

That's all may come new updates but different Version Generation,
So please don't just type 4 digits "1224"
typed it completely ex : V3.0_101224STOCK or V3.0_110119STOCK or V2.0_101224STOCK
date version is (version Generation + 6 digit)
So we all know which version is to be discussed.

Thank's For attention.
If you are complaining about this, then please be accurate.

As far as I know, V2.0_101224STOCK never existed....
V2.0_100518STOCK did...

I would say that no.13 and no.15 are too low. Basically you are trying to throw too much timing at the motor too soon. I would try no.13 at 6000-8000 and no.15 at 600

Default SOFTWARE V1.07-110119

Running the latest 119 software and a HW 21.5 motor

Thanks in advance
New software setup and tests on a XERUN-120A-1S ESC running the new 110119 stock software in 21.5 Touring car class.

Well the results are in. Run tonight at a local track SERCCC (Melbourne Australia) on a flowing track setup. Three speed portions and four tight/hairpins sections.

Michael Clarke (driver)
Car - XRAY T3 2011
FDR - 4.91
MOTOR - SP21.5 V3 SET TO ZERO DEGREE TIMING (Second motor used, first was fried due to incorrect settings)(blame the pit dude (me))
BATTERY USED - YUNTONG 5000 40C
TYRES - Muchmore 32 premounts
RADIO - Futaba 2PL
BODY - HPI MAZDA 6
CAR SETUP - Kit standard with a change to droop on rear

SETTINGS USED ARE LISTED BELOW.

1 = 1
2 = 0%
3 = 3.4V
4 = 9
5 = 100%
6 = 25%
7 = 0%
8 = 6%
9 = 35
10 = 18
11 = ENABLED
12 = 24
13 = 4000
14 = 0.3SEC
15= 500

Results were explosive acceleration and great top end culminating in a comfortable heat win. Motor temps stayed around 55 degree and all but driving incidents did not add more wins to the tally.

I'm very impressed with the new software and with a little more track time i'd say a few more tweaks on setup will produce more impressive results. Only the driver has to now improve.

Hope these setup options will be of help to all.

Cheers

Ren

Could you tell us what setings you were using when you blow the previous motor? So that we don't do the same mistake.

thanks.

Default 25A 1/18 ESC

I have a Hobbywing 25A esc in my SC18. I recently picked up the 2 in 1 programming box. When I hook it up to esc all it displaysis "connecting to esc". I assume this mean I have the version 1 esc. Does anyone know if I can upgrade the software in the esc to the version 2?

thanks.
Motor had 10 degree timing origionally and values 13 was set at 2000 and 15 was set at 750.
FDR on our track was changed from 4.4 to 4.91.
Taming the settings down gave the car better top end speed but improved the acceleration by at least 50%.

Cheers

Ren
