I ran AE 50wt (650cst) at snowbirds. What you use depe ds on what car you are using. The stock 500 could be ok on an older evo where you can use the full range of A gap (4+). On the newer evo2 chassis you cant go over 3.6 so you need a heavier oil. I ran a 1mm gap with the 50wt oil.

I'm thinking of buying a evo 2 to run on asphalt also, will the aluminum chassis setup be okay for this?

The C01AL-S2 should be great outdoors -- just like the C01AL-S was.

Default Need help!

I am running 700L in VTA and USGT, the VTA car is HOOKED UP but the USGT car won't turn in. I have to slow the car down too much to get it to turn around. Is there something to do to put more steering in the car. THANKS (running on carpet)

Default ETS Rnd.2

Hi,
last weekend Team Awesomatix attend at the ETS Rnd.2 in Germany.
It was nearly the biggest event in Europe with over 400 racers in 3 classes !!!

My A700 Evo II worked perfect again and i managed pretty good result in the ProStock class. I started from position 4 into the A-Main, but had a bit bad luck in A1 and A3. A2 was pretty good and i finished second and could also close the gape a bit to Marek Cerny at the end of the run.
You can watch the video at RedRC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tT7OcCTTwY

Overall i finished 4th from 209 drivers in ProStock 13,5T class.

I used nearly same setup which i used 2 weeks ago at LRP TCM with VTEC CPX Tires. Only did some small adjustmenst on the setup like droop , geardiff oil and changed only little bit the damper / spring stiffenes.
Please take note that i used 10.000 oil in my rear diff

Max - great result in A2. i see you tried the Dart body this time. what do you think about it?

from the video, you were either over driving the corner entrances trying to keep Jan behind, or you car had a slight entry push.

Thanks hanulec. In practice i comapred LTC-R and Dart shell and i choosed the Dart because it was more easy to drive for me. I had more consisten lap times over 5 minutes. The LTC-R was more nervouse and aggressive on entry of the corner. Lap times were pretty same for booth shells but the more easy handling let me choose for the Dart

And on video you can see i over driving the car a bit like Marcel already wrote.
Will work on this in future hehehe

well you certainly drove well -- especially under pressure. Jan beat us all up (i.e. American's) at Snowbirds at the beginning of the month.

many of us have found to Dart to really help with mid-exit corner rotation. did you try the mazda speed 6 at all?

Yeah i know about Jan's Snowbird wins ;-)
I didn't test Speed6 at the ETS. But like we all know a Speed6 works everytime hehe.
I tested a lot with shells at my hometrack where we have same carpet like ETS.
All 3 PF Shells (Speed6 / LTC-R / Dart) were at same speed. Only consistence over 5 minutes was different. I had best result and feeling with LTC and Dart shell and during the less practice runs at ETS (only 3 to setup car) my plan was to compare only these 2 shells there.
I belive at the end its a personal feeling and driving style opinion which bodyshell you should choose.
