Sure if you ever need a custom part i would be happy to help. Most of the time i am designing custom parts for my rc and friends. Here are a few examples.
Both of the bottom ones have 4mm thick pla chassis.
Custom 6wd. I am working on the shock tower design.
And my very special water cooled rc.
Here was a temporary suspension i design for my yokomo fwd when i broke some parts on its last race.

Oh man that 6 wheel would be sweet if I could convince my local track to let me race it for f1 club races lol. Have you driven it? And does it have any pics with a body on? I'll definitely give you a ring if I get any crazy ideas though. Maybe start off with something small like hubs and go up to a gearbox if possible
The custom 6wd uses this body. I dont have any photo that i can find at the moment of it with the body.
I did run it at one local event and was quickly banned. So now i am changing the suspension design for a drift setup. It used regular tc tires in the back and Tamiya mini wheels upfront.

That is neat! But yeah not sure about PLA being your main chassis... The other parts, sure I can see it working.
Here is my sample pictures. Crawler chassis, CNC Aluminum with PLA cross members. Supposed to be for Axial AX10 or equivalent conversion to a scaler.
I might try and draft up the DEX210 shock towers this weekend... maybe... but I want to make the camber link mounts like the DEX 410

I agree with you on the pla for chassis. But its cheaper to prototype A chassis on pla that cost like 2 dollars then carbon fiber which would cost around 50 to 100 for each prototype. Once i have the final design for sure i would make it out of carbon fiber

Yes carbon is expensive that is why I went with 1/8" Aluminum. You can get it mill and cut or cheaper option is water jet cutting.

While you guys are creating works of art, I am busy trying to track down Exotek Flite Axles in the UK like a pleb lol. Might have just scored two pairs though. Fingers crossed!

New battery?
Well I took the plunge and bought into the slim pack hype. I'm sure I'll need some extra foam for the battery strap to work but this seemed like a quick way to put the buggy on a diet and then put the extra weight where I want it we'll see what actually happens. I'm just happy they made a 3900mah this small 63 grams is the difference between my protek 6100mah pack and this one. The SMC was just there for size reference

What the dimensions of the new pack?

The only dimension that changed was it's height and the new battery is 18.5mm tall vs 25mm on the SMC. Otherwise the rest is the same width and length. Though it seems the fantom is about 1mm shorter. But I assume that's just the difference in plastic used.
How much are those and where did you get them if you don't mind.

I got mine straight from Fantom here
100C-160C PRO RACING SERIES LiPo - 3900mAh, 7.4v, 2-Cell, THIN SHORTY
And they are $60 a pop. You can also get them through Amain but they're more expensive there.

This is the low profile pack that some of the folks at my local track use. I've been meaning to pick up a couple for indoor season.
Gens ace 3500mAh 7.4V 60C 2S1P HardCase Lipo Battery Pack 58# with 4.0mm bullet to Deans plug

We only race mod around here. I'm pretty sure these packs would put their buggies under the minimum weight for say a ROAR event but no one cares for club racing.
