I just bought this car plus hopups but haven't started building it yet. I wanna know, what is AE doing about it?

Your idea to drill out and extend is "on track", but I dont think there is enough wall thickness in the plastic pin block to hold the set screw reliably.
i was also thinking of drilling the end were the pin will pretrude and use the screws from the arms that hold the outer hinge pin

You could probabaly just use the plastic mounts and drill some holes in to test

Just get to building JayBeee, by the time your done I'll have your answer.

It's not a huge deal, just an annoyance. Building alum pin mounts would be a piece of cake, and would solve alot. You know you'll get some so get busy.

Not sure I see a solution there Jorge, although I've not seem those mounts in the flesh before.

I'm gonna dig the dremel out

Considering building alum. arm mount blocks that have an outside set screw that would lock the pin. This would eliminate all pin slop and put an end to block pivot issue.

Anyone else found resolution to this? I suppose eliminating the shim washers would help some by increasing block seat contact. Another option is to find small serrated washers that bite in enough to eliminate pivot.
Here is one:

Here you are:

Yes it will increase the width, but with thinner shims the width will stay the same, or am I wrong?

And one thing: It is not from AE. I measured every part several times and build it in 3D. Took some time and wasn't fun in the end, but after the TC5 had so many design failures when using LiPo I want to be prepared...

Cool ideia. For me it would be awsome if it will be one-piece only
