I'm trying to decide which mod motor I want. I know I want a smooth motor to help learn how to drive a 2wd. I have a 8.5 sitting around but I'm thinking that may be a little too powerful. I will run on a medium and a medium/large track w/ different layouts every other week. I believe I am in the market for a 10.5, I know some guys run a 10.5 at the larger track. So I'm looking for some options on "smooth" motors. Thanks guys

Are the aluminium rear uprights the same height as the composite ones?
I see a lot of carpet setups with 6 under upperlink?
Manual says 4 mm as default.

Well I got everything together the last few days. Ride height and camber need to be set at the track tomorrow. Due to the weather I have off tomorrow so track day it is. Diff is broken in the way Tessmans video shows. Now my xb4 needs a full day to get it fully ready for the winter season.

Got my new XB2 and Xb4 18s and built up the XB2 while racing at 1/8 roar regionals in Houston. The new car builds fantastic and the updates to the shock are a huge improvement, the shocks are now Kyosho good, buttery smooth and supple and now the shock pack up so much better. The stock shock setup is amazing now.

on front shocks the kit has 2mm spacers on outside of shocks above the spring perch. If you take these out and run none what are will this change on the track feel

Well, the front should be able to roll more however i believe at that point you'd most likely be traction rolling if cornering to take advantage of the extra shock stroke. Without the shims the extra shock stroke allows the tire to compress upwards well past the bottom of the chassis. It may work well on a rough track...

Bummer, It seems to be an effective tunning ade from what ive seen and experianced. But it all depends on driver, car set up and track conditions but thats what tunning options are for. I shimmed my front bulk head after being told by a tekno team driver to try it and i though it was a big improvement so i was hopping someone made proper fitting shims.
