Yeah, if you built a TB evo or TB03, shimming helps with some of the noise from the bevel gears.

Defective parts? Yes. Bent ball diff screw. Front diff ring gear had chunks of metal missing in the teeth. Flashing in the metal gears.

Per HPI the diff screw isn't available til the end of the month. Guess I won't be running this car anytime soon.

Just finished my cup racer and the body is really detailed. Still waiting for the 510. I did encounter a motor plate screw hole that was too big, I just put a bigger screw in. Hope to run it soon waiting for esc and 17.5.

You should be able to use the diff screw from a Pro 4.

Unfortunately the Pro 4 is 25mm long and the cup racer is 32mm long. Oh well thanks anyway.

The PRO4 bevel gears are very close tolerance against the pinion gear and diff cases but I've put 3 packs through my car and it all is running very smooth, if not better each run.
Hey Mike - how's the mods holding up??

I got the parts I need to do this to mine on the way
